Can't wait! Although I won't have one I know there are quite a few rich people in here so if you want you can paypal me some money for my purchase of the RS5 Pm me for my paypal address.

edit: I think the best color is white or black.

looks great.

sucks that the base model has been flooding the streets for over a year. youll be paying almost double over a base model thats already starting to get dated.

I saw one on the road right next to me at the stop light. I saw the small coupe with the V8 badge on the side fender and was like "oh DAMN!!"

He took off and sure enough it was a RS5. Beautiful car!

RS5 not here yet... You were dreaming.

Anyone know the approximate price point for this?

Estimated for $88K. For that price I rather get GT-R.

Based of how it is currently priced in Europe, it'll start at around 85k+.

p.s Had anybody ever seen the S5 "Sportback"? I just saw it on audi.co.uk.

As they'll most likely be sold in limited examples, I'm sure they'll move off the lot quickly. And as a person who thinks a GT-R looks aggressive, I gotta say; in the looks department it's still ugly compared to the RS5.

The GTR would look so ugly sitting next to this car. I think I would take the audi rs5 any day. I don't care if you're faster, well your car, no you, since you don't do any of the driving in that car. I'd bet the RS5 would be much more fun to drive than the GTR.

No, it's just that some people can be hopelessly loyal to a brand. Or they just read some false info.

104k BASE!!

thats 284% more than a base A5 @ 36.5k. is that a record breaking price increase for a special edition? an owner may become suicidal if anyone ever mistook this for a run of the mill A5.

Try MSRP $104.5k base.

Ouch.

So overpriced for what you get!

Edmunds 104k price is way off and was just a guess.

Other sources have said it will be under $80k starting.

Problem is releasing the RS5 in 2012, by then the new M3 will almost be released and whoops its ass.

RS models are always late to the game.

If I had the money, I would definitely buy one. And I'd get Euro Delivery and drive the shit out of it all over Western Europe.
