Issue with a noisy strut... WWAZD?

Made a thread in the 2g sub, but it didn't get any replies so far...

If I take it back to that shop again there is no guarantee it won't do it again in another few days. Plus there is the possibility they may charge me a diagnostic fee, especially since they could say "it was fixed when you left" They did tell me they torqued it to spec. You never know with these shops...
Is there something special or specific about struts, torque specs for the fasteners, that needs to be accounted for so it won't back off through regular driving? Keep in mind this is the 2003 CL and that driver's front wheel takes a lot of load on it. I do wonder if this is something I could just tighten myself, but I have no clue what mounting bolts they could be referring to other than the top nuts on the strut tower, which do seem to be secure at least from a hand check. Are those top fasteners the only ones? If anyone could clue me in on what could have backed off, that would be great.

Anyone have any experience with strut work, replaced their own struts? What Would AZ Do in this situation?
