I was on my way home today and saw a dark green Audi A6 ahead of me..no big deal I think..As i continued to get a little close I noticed a dual exhust..not just a dual tip but a full 3" muffler on each side..When i passed him I also noticed aftermarket wheels, lowered, some badge on the side that I couldn't make out, and a modified front grill with a S badge on it...By the way this is a current body style either a 2.8 or 2.7T model A6...The odd part was the man the was driving it looked to be in his mid to late 60's, with his wife in the passenger side..not the normal person i would guess to drive this type of modifed car..The car had no badge on the back, and i know there is no US S6 in the current model..just thought it was a little strange...

The body on the A6 4.2 is PIMP... it has huge flared fenders a nice low stance... and "S" style wheels.

One of my friends at work drives a silver A6 4.2. Very nice car, but you could almost buy 2 CLs for what it cost him. He tried hard to talk me into an S4, but I couldn't justify the extra $$$ over a CL.

We have some pretty cool cars for such a small company. The boss drives a Mercedes SL500, one of the youngsters has a Civic Si that's nicely (as opposed to ricely) tricked out, and another guy occasionally drives his late-60s vintage Corvette with the big ridiculous V8 you can hear from blocks away.

50% tint sides, 35% back.

 

The A6 4.2 has a 300hp V8 (flared fenders, big wheels)- Sport Package wheels are hot (Polished thick spoke)- the standard pie plate wheels are cool though. Tornado Red, Sport Package, 35% on the windows (very hot).

But the A6 2.7T is just as fast (even faster with a 6spd)- but doesn't looks as neat.

The S6 isn't available yet in the states, why I don't know- probably will come in close to the last year of the current A6 body- in typical Audi fashion.

Don't forget the 2.7T can be chipped to make about 310hp. Gotta love forced induction and variable boost!
