Insurance rates we pay
I was on a Camaro forum earlier and saw a post from a member stating that he was 19 and pays $70 a month for insurance on a Corvette. That seems like a great rate for a teenager with that kind of car. I was wondering what kind of rates everyone is getting on their cars.
I'm 22 and currently pay $50 a month on a '95 Accord LX with State Farm.

My insurance is with Allstate under my name and just my 1 car and I was paying $143/month but since I turned 25 it dropped to $118/month. And that is with pretty much every "discount" they have to offer.
I pay $800/6 months and am not happy about it. I've never had a moving violation and haven't been in an accident since 2001, I thought it was suppose to get lower after 25 I guess that was a load of horseshit.
Insurance for a Camaro is usually higher than for a Corvette. Reason being is that a lot of Corvette drivers are older, more mature men whereas Camaro drivers..... ![:]](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Farmers, on my parents plan I pay $500/6 months, that's with no tickets.. I guess that works out to about $80 or so a month. That was with my car listed as a "pleasure" vehicle but I started driving it daily, and I guess when I had my ticket, they noticed the mileage and they moved it to a "commuter" status and I'm thinking its going to go up. But they didn't raise my insurance as a result of the ticket.... yet.

I paid $131 per month EXTRA to have my 20-year old daughter on our '02 TL-S. 1-year accident free and that Inexperienced Driver premium was decreased by about 40%.
$70 per month though state farm on 01 cls and 88 325is. seems that the more cars you have through state farm the better your coverage is as well. my dad has 9 cars on his plan and it's only $110 a month for full coverage on all of them.
$118.97 a month through Ameriprise (Costco). My 2000 TL and my sister's 99 VW Passat. Myself, both sisters, and my father covered on the policy. I'm gonna do some shopping around to see if I can get a better rate. Costco

He's well under 25 y/o, likely unmarried, probably not a homeowner with a luxury branded sports sedan and two SUVs. Honestly, I'm surprised he only pays a little more than we do.
If you are in college, under 25 and unmarried, you can even get a good student discount...
You could also reduce the amount of liability coverage that you have.
When I was getting full coverage insurance for my car it would have been (with a so-far spotless record) $500/6mo with my dad on it, and $1500/6mo with just me
I pay $80 a month for my 03 CL-S. I have a spotless record, and I'm still on my parent's insurance (don't feel like paying over double that to be on my own policy) Everything is in my name (primary driver, and so forth)
I really think I'd get a better rate through a different insurance company. I have Safeco.
