Sweet. I would love to have one of those.

Think Toyota had any clue that they made a car and motor capable of doing anything like this?

Question is, will they every build another one like it ??

It would be nice to see Toyota gets back in the RWD sports coupe game (1-series, Genesis Coupe)...

I'm sure they wouldn't be able to build them fast enough....

Like the NSX, the Supra's design is also timeless .. But all that fucking power is eye-popping.

Honestly, I'd take a supra over a GTR. More street cred.

I drove a buddys 94 with 690 to the wheels. He spent something like 3k installed and dynoed for a single turbo set up on the stock motor. It makes my other friends c5 z06 seem rather slow. The supra pushes you in the seat really hard with a huge smile on your face!! I cant imagine wanting/needing more power than that. With 295 wide tires on it, it barely hooks up.

useless power... other supras have run 8s with under 1000 HP.

plus why would you want to take such a well balanced sports car and reduce it to something that merely goes in a straight line albeit very quickly. waste.

def not a 1/4 mile car, more of a highway BEAST.

As much as I like Supras and their capability of reaching 4-digit horsepower, I'll have to agree with you there .. Maybe I'm not searching hard enough, but it's pretty rare for me to come across a Supra running an actual track taking some turns and such.

The Supra is an amazing machine with amazing potential. To do the BPUs and whoop cars 5 times it's price is one thing, but to do what these guys are doing.......SOB! Those turbos! How much bigger are they going to make them! But I agree with your guys on the straight ahead speed thing. Personally for straight ahead speed or 1/4 times I prefer a muscle car. Still though very impressive and I wouldn't turn one down and would probably have a 1000 HP supra myself if I had the money.
