Imports Still Don't Get Respect...
you'd think after years and years of dominance in the auto-market I'd get a little more respect on the road, but that's still not true in Texas, I wanted to post this in "Street Encounters" but I wanted more feedback on the subject at hand.....
By some work of God I did win all of these races....
2005 Toyota Camry LE (Base model, only upgrades are the auto tranny and the radio comes with a CD player and that's it, but still all factory)
VVTI I4 Engine w/ errr 150hp/155tq (ish, not sure)
Stock as they come, except tires.
First encounter:
Camry vs. (10th gen) Ford F-150 (V8 w/ pipes)
Ok this car has been being a lil speed demon and cutting everyone off in sight, but I was ok with it until it got a lil ugly when he wanted to cut me off again and I sped up so he couldn't get over so we get caught at the red light. The car in front of him had to make a right turn so we were lined up at the light, the driver gives me a mean glare and revs up his engine, so i'm like w/e we'll see how bad I get destroyed....... Green Light...... His tires are squeeling and beggin for mecry while mine aren't, I didnt floor it because I had FWD and I'm sure you guys are quite familiar with that, anywho by 2K i floored it and watch my tach slowly rise up and watch that F-150 powerwalk away until....... VVTI yo, then I caught and passed him, as I am in disbelief while we're zooming down the highway for A. i'm racing in the camry and I feel like a moron doing it, B. I'm beating a car with more than twice the engine and power I have, how is this possible?
Second Encounter:
Camry vs. Dodge Dakota Sport
Again another hick speeding down the road and decides to cut me off then SLAM on his brakes and almost gets me into my first accident
, all of this just to make it to the red light faster, so the dakota speeds up and I try to pass him and he won't let me, and as usual I'm stuck waiting on VVTI and then the magic happend again as I pass him and then casually do the speed limit and not letting him pass me 
Third and final (ugh this was a LONG day)
Camry vs. Old Chevy Pickup with the 350 V8 in it (sounded like the 350)
They threw out their trash on the camry which REALLY got me pissed off and I wanted to get out my car and kick their ass but I knew a better way.... thru their pride..... They rev up thier engine as usual and I'm like steaming hot so I'm like griping the steering wheel really hard and getting ready to lay some rubber down with the camry but realising that all attempts would be futile but I still dont care and I'm relying on VVTI and premium fuel this time (gas station ran outta Reg. so i went what-the-hay and got premium anyways), so the light turns green and we're both squeeling my tires as he gets the takeoff while i sit there looking stupid with my FWD burnout, so i left off the pedal and then try again so I'm already 2 carlengths behind until the hand of god aka VVTI gives me a boost and I catch him and pass him.
Today was just an example of an average day in the life of the Camry (minus the racing, today was the first day I bit back and took a chomp outta those hick's pride), I was wondering if you guys ever get treated like crap on the roads driving such fine imports (well.... err..... WE know Acuras aren't imports but the avg. moron doesn't), or if you don't get any crap at all and has had the best time of your life on the road.

Reminds me of those Mexican people racing in their CB Accords at night on the expressways. I even once saw a baby seat with a baby in it in the backseat before, and another time I saw a car so full of lardasses that the rear sagged. Even they the retards decided to race each other.

Dang, those pickup trucks are just annoying as all heck, aren't they? Next it'll be a Toyota Tundra.

okay this kid sounds like type ricer. out talking about his VVTI kicking in and racing pickups on public roads with his import. Don't get me wrong I like Import cars. I got 2(soon to be 3).
#1. Don't race on public streets/roads. it's dangerous as hell and can be extremely expensive.
#2. if you do line with someone at the track line up with someone with similar E.T. otherwise you'll be like "oh he was running NOS and I didn't know it" or "He got a head jump."

Okay my buddy got a 90 1/2 ton short box we've pretty tore down to the frame. pulled the engine on it put a World products engine in it produces about 600 hp all natural.(no NOS,no turbos,no supercharger)just motor. grant it a 350 punched out. just be careful when you think it's some hick in a old chevy or ford or dodge truck there's some trucks like the Ford Lighting will mess you up.

BTW, racing in a Camry and then stating that once you got to vvt-i you got such an extra boost that you were able to pull in a race is the reason why enthusiasts don't have respect for "RICERS" that own imports. We respect the car, just not the idiot claiming that vtec, or vvt-i helped him win the race, especially when vvt-i for the camry is meant to improve gas mileage not performance.

this one time, i raced a dude off the line on bikes...he dusted the shit outta me!!! although he was on a huffy and I was on a tricycle....and he had like, 8 years on me...

I see. The entire car driving populace ridicules you for driving a Camry. Currently one of the best selling cars, and for good reason. I think you tend to embellish somewhat other drivers wanting to "race" you. Sounds like to me that any disrespect you get from other drivers isn't because of your automobile, its because of your behavior. Most of us have had a few trips to redline out of the hole from time to time, but if you are being truthful about your little challenges, methinks one of those "hicks" one day is going to punt you and your car into the weeds.

Some of you guys have been useful with your post instead of the usual post hoars aka assholes who just like posting their insults which I dont really care much for and not going ot take the time to respond/read them and you don't have to tell me not to race, those 3 were my first 3 races in the camry, the camry is slow as hell, that car just gets me from point a. to point b. cheaply.
BUT since I'm not used to lying down and taking all the bullshit from you post-hoars the speeds I did before letting up off of the gas in those races were:
1st race: 60mph in the 55
2nd race: 45 in the 35
3rd race: 65 in the 70
but whatever, mods please close this thread, I'm not good at biting my toungue and these lil post-hoars here are starting to piss me off, I got what I needed, this thread is just going down that road of "Acurazine's Saints on the Road Rant on Teenagers"

You took a I4. You raced with it, you put yourself in danger, and put other people's lives in risk of your god damn stupidity.
