Probably will end up with a new G35 coupe since the Infiniti dealer seems keen on helping me export one when the time comes ...

Oops missed that part. How much would you be saving a G35? Is it about the same difference with an S2K?

Thanks everyone. Went to the MOT (Ontario equivalent to the DMV) and got temp plates (C$15). Drove the TSX over to Crappy Tire to get DRLs installed (only cost $99.99 before tax, including the relay). Couple hours later -- DRLs installed. They hooked up the parking lights to be DRLs (so no worries about high beams burning out). Also got my federal compliance papers completed (they faxed it to RIV). Just down to the last hurdle!

So ... next Wed or Thurs ... I get real plates, pay my PST (provincial sales tax ~C$2k) and then the process is completed! Now that I know the process ... piece of cake for the next car.

Dom -- my guess on the savings on the G35 coupe ... depends on whether I can get VPP in the States off the bat. The Windsor Infiniti manager will give it to me (about 95% sure) but not too sure if the US counterpart will be as generous. However ... if I extrapolate from the current 2007 pricing ... I would anticipate a C$4500 savings (at 15% exchange rate).

I got plates and paid C$2100 in provincial taxes! Plates read: "AZXS-###" (NOT vanity plates but the regular ones issued by the gov't. I thought you guys might like it.

Okay, so otherwise, how is she liking the car? Is she used to it yet? Is she able to back out of the driveway in under ten mins?

I'm just teasing! Who's been driving the TSX more? Loving it?

I thought people would see, AZXS as "AcuraZine excess" ... which is what a lot of people here are doing ...

TSX is a nice car. So far, we've split the 20 miles driven on the odometer between the 2 of us. She's getting used to the car -- a lot better than the first time out with it. Still have to link the RAZR phone with the car as well as program the Homelink for her garage.

Mileage on the car sucks right now (18 mpg) but I think the dealer put in midgrade (89) -- bastards -- as well as most of our trips have been short (ie engine not really warmed up), and engine hasn't been broken in yet. But after 6500 miles (next scheduled service) ... will most likely switch to synthetic (Mobil 1) -- weird to see 5W30 on this engine (since the J32 uses 5W20) but I guess the high revving engine needs more protection and it inherently has better fuel economy (re: 2.4L 4 cylinder).

Pictures to come ... when I get off my lazy butt and the weather improves.
