I think he meant single outlet on an Evo IX or VIII.... they have bumpers designed for the single outlet. Or maybe he didn't know that the Evo X's have dual outlet bumpers, cause I didn't either until I saw one on the road the other day.

yea, I miss my six speed gas wise but that's it. and yes, what I was trying to say is that dual outlet holes with single exhaust is ricey.

BraveDemon- Thanks, you should do it but make sure your doing it for performance because it's not as great quality as the acura. And I would suggest getting the stock navi it's much better then navless dash. I mopped up the parkway with my friends 6speed g37 last night, the x pulls away from it at 80mph and the better handling takes care of everything else lol. (I dipped in between a car and he just fell back)

2000TaffetaTL-Yea I wouldn't have minded getting one, they're much faster but the interior and exterior of the x's are better. ix's look dated to me now.

1killercls-I'm definately going white on gold or white on black. With cf hood and trunk something like the one with black hood trunk and wheels but not with the silly huge wing though.

 

White on gold FTW...black wheels are ugly IMO, all of them look cheap for some reason.

Black wheels are nasty....maybe on luxury cars, but even then its hit or miss. Get gold! Then single outlet exhaust and have a shop custom fill the 2nd hole for you (wow that didn't sound right)

being a devout EVO IX fanatic, and being surrounded by them (four of my friends have/had them), driving them, and ALMOST purchasing a WW IX myself with the SSL, i can't stand the looks of the X. it looks horribly bloated, interior looks generic (sans the seats and navi...those are pure sex) and the IX can still hand the X it's ass on several performance levels. and reviews on the MR with the TC-SST have been less than favorable. sure, track times are improved, but it's not fast enough to escape how ugly it is. nothing is right on that car as far as design.

I like everything about the car except for the front end. that would keep me from buying hte car all together. it looks like a huge mouth or something. All the new cars are using that stupid front end design....they can't just keep it simple with a grille

 

02CL-TypeS-Turbo cars need an open grille design for their intercoolers. I'm IN LOVE with the front grille design.

Ok first off I love all evo's and have since I was 16 years old I remember going to mitsu and acura with my mom and drooling over the integra type r and the evo 8 and I eventually ended up with a 4 door LS teg. But fast foward to 2008 I'm grown now and got the acuras out of my system so since I had to choose it was obvious for me, x all day. In fact, the 9 looks dated to me now (especially the interior) you have to drive the 9's fast cause if you don't you'll get bored with all the cabin noise and bumpiness and cheap materials. lol and I want you to understand that the purpose of the x was not in any way to be faster then it's older brothers (even though it's the same speed as a stock 8). The 4g63, is a master piece so why try to make something that out performs it????? That's why they didn't, they just went a different direction In fact, lead developer Ryugo Nakao stated on numerous occasions that the new generation of high performance vehicles need to be able to deliver more than just absolute speed. They must be fast yet more safe, more comfortable, and better for the environment. They have achieved that with the amazing seats and navi that you love and a much better overall interior setup with not as much cabin noise (the 8's & 9's sound like rattle boxes inside). The forged aluminum block is better for the environment and lighter and is still as strong as the 8's & 9's iron block with it's reinforced iron sleeves. Evidence has been shown, by how well the 4b11 takes to mods, non believers such as yourself, well... ones that actually own evo's have seen that the 4b11 takes to mods better then the 4g63 and have actually traded up (Keep in mind it's only been out for a few months there's not alot of mods for it yet but we've still seen 420 hp x's!!!! That's amazing for an 2008 in 2008) As far as a 9 out performing a 10, yes it's faster. But not by much, I race in the street alot (yes I'm an idiot) and I've successfully taken down 6spd g37 coupe, the 335 xi, mazdaspeed 3, mustangs, nissan z and witnessed an srt-4 crash into the back of a truck trying to keep up with me and been neck and neck with the new v8 m3. It has been quoted that the evo x is one of the best handling cars on the planet, and being that I have driven 8's and 9's bmw m3's, 335 xi's, 528 xi's, g37's, 6spd TL's, E class benz's, and mini coopers, I can attest that it is. And as for it looking bloated? I think your insane what's bloated about this?
