It feels kinda weird, being that I had my baby for Two years and she treated me so well. I'm now the proud owner of the Lancer Evolution x and I must say that performance wise I have absolutely NO regrets whatsoever.

Pros:
Amazing performance ( handles like a Porsche ) and is almost as fast as the new v8 m3.
Nicely bolstered suede recaro seats.
Navigation/30 gig hard drive.
Plays dvd movies.
Nice performance gains per mod.
Brembo calipers front and back.

Cons:
No heated seats.
Cheap plastic interior panels.
fake leather vinyl shift boot.
Crappy mitsu warranty.
Crappy clutch.


I wanted better performance and it definitely serves it's purpose. I love my new evo, what does my azine family think? (flame suit on)

I like the Evo interior more than the TL interior. Its by no means 'nicer' but what matters is that the seats are incredible. They look and feel great, to the touch and when you sit in them. Plus, you sit in the seats everyday and the entire time you're in the car, so IMO they are the most important part of the interior... I do admit the TL does have a nicer ride and is quieter though. But it doesn't make up for the sheer driving fun of the Evo!

Yeah, the TL has a nicer dash and center stack, but I don't know anyone who touches their dash every time they get in the car. I assume you got the GSR or regular Evo X model? I really wish they came out with a 6-speed manual.

Maybe its cause I'm young (And the wrong-wheel-drive vs. AWD) but I'd take the Evo X over the TL anyday.

And don't knock the guy for taking it through a car wash. He lives in NYC. Not too many places to wash a car yourself in the city. And he's doing a lot better than I do. My car gets washed when it rains. I just don't have the time anymore.

Nice GSR, I know it's a GSR because you said you got the M/T and the Evo MR is only that 6spd auto.

I just want to ask one thing, does the MR offer more power than the GSR or are they virtually the same, except the MR has better handling and styling?

I Go To Costco - The recaro's are so damn nice... I did 130mph the other day (I know I'm a moron) and seriously they hold you so tight you don't even budge. The evo is actually quieter then my TL's greddy evo 2's so it's nice from stock but a little to quiet for me. I already ordered my aftermarket exhaust. Kakimoto regu (google it it's awsome!) Also, I do miss the 6speed though.

JS + TL- Thanks for the love, you never know what people will think of the choices you make you know. I paid 36k for a base gsr with navi and It was a hand car wash, no brushes come down it only sprays water and soap and then dudes hand wash it. See heres a video

Eoanou- MR has color matched vents and sst transmission only. No stick shift available for them, they have better suspension and different rims. Power is the same well actually less after taken through the auto transmission. Oh and leather seats with navi. Not all come with navi though.

Btw, you should get some gold rims for your Evo. I saw one the other day with the gold Volks with some simple lip kit and it was just sick as hell.

And yeah, you should definitely wash your car yourself. Don't go crazy with all those wax and shits. Just do some simple car wash once a week if you have a place and time to do so.

mrmako- Compared to the 8's & 9's the x handles better, but it's not just because of the all wheel drive. It's because it has s-awd which is a combination of acd abs ayc and asc. But the older evo's are faster so in a straight line all your better handling does nothing to offset the heavier weight. Now compared to my TL, it's a world of difference there's no wheel hop or torque steer what soever I absolutely eat turns that I was scared of in my tl. My wheels NEVER spin out, even in the rain, so yes all wheel drive and a turbo are a holy pair for me and my next car will have the same set up. Either an audi s line or (well I'm not interested in bmw's that much since I've seen my stock evo x beat them by 5 car lengths from lights) So yea, I'll either go audi next or get a gtr.

gdubb-Actually that's the cheapest I've seen it for on the east coast with my options and I shopped around ALOT.
