My parents got me a TL for my 16th bday, (I'm not spoiled ). At the time I wanted a civic or integra, because I use to see civics and tegs all fixed up and I wanted to do the same. This time was before F&F and altezzas and bodykits were still "in", but my parents wanted something safe for me, so they got me a TL. If they bought me what I really wanted I'm pretty sure I'd end up ricing it out, because I did a few things to the TL that I regreted...like I had underbody neons and stupid colored emblems, basically I wanted crazy colors all over my car ...but I took all the crap off. Also, I was thinking of puting an aluminum wing on, but it was too expensive....I would kicked myself if I did that.

 

hmmm so was it a '96 or '97 TL at the time?

I asked for a used civic!!! They bought me the TL because a few weeks earlier our corolla suddenly lost control on the freeway and we almost hit the wall.

When I was 17 my parents gave me an 82 toyota tercel that had more rust than paint on the car, had no door locks but it didnt matter cuz no one was going to jack the stereo, and went 0 - 60 in 25.6 seconds. Then the brake line broke one day and my parents replaced it with my uncles 78 chevette. I miss the tercel, it was so cool. The chevette was also cool. And no i'm not spoiled.

Yeah, the Pyrotechnics was standard equipment on the Pinto.

 

my first car was an 89 tercel -> mazda 626 -> crx ->mazda rx-7 -> crx -> civic hatch -> del sol -> integra -> TL -> crx -> sprint turbo -> still have the TL, i have pictures of most of them, all the hondas had bseries motors, everything else had turbo, except the mazda and the tercel
