I'm about to pull the trigger...

In case you guys didn't catch my other thread, I'm gettin' rid of the CL-S. I don't want to explain the situation, but here's the thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-talk-5/looking-new-car-got-suggestions-323889/

It came down to:

'99 Camaro Z28 6spd w/ 48k miles for $12,500
'02 RSX-S 6spd w/ 69k miles for $13,750
'01 Prelude w/ 57.5k miles for $12,000

I decided to throw the camaro in there so that I can get a differnet perspective on an American V8. The car was fun to drive, however I just didn't feel, "at home" while driving it. So I struck that out.

The RSX-S was a BIT more fun to drive than the prelude, but not much. It came down to the fact that its got about 11k miles more than it, is $1,750 more, and also, he had about $1200 of damage on the right rear bumper/quarter panel. So I struck that out...leaving me w/ the 'Lude.

Here are pics of her:

Original owner, 5spd, stock OEM front lip, Mugen side skirts and rear lip, clear side markers, and AEM intake. He also mentioned that he had Eibach springs on the car for 3 months but took them off because he was scraping on his driveway (it was rather steep), so he said I can have em if I want. This will be my first stick shift car, and I think it is perfect. It was in fantastic condition cosmetically, and it drove awesome. I'm really excited about getting it. I want to start modding her ASAP.

I would like to get a short shift kit, headers, exhaust, hondata. However, since I'm new to this car, I don't know much about it and I have no idea what kind of mods I can do to it, or how much things run for this car. I'm so used to my CL-S and how expensive shit is for it. Anyways, I should be getting it within the next few days. He was asking $13k for it but I got him down to $12k cash.

If you know some shit about preludes and would like to help me out, PLEASE do so Hopefully I'm making the right decision.

`John

Congrats on the Lude. Personally I'm not much of a Prelude fan but it is a very solid car nonetheless.

I hear you on the spoiler...I'm either gonna get the type-r wing or the stock spoiler. Do you think a lip spoiler would work?

As for the exhaust, from what I know, it's stock. But I'm gonna get exhaust put on the ride soon regardless. Anybody have any recommendations?

if you get a spoiler, go stock. I think a lip spoiler would actually look pretty bomb. Not something as small as the M3/M5 spoiler. See if you can get the re-touched RSX-S lip spoiler to fit on there.

My friend has the RS Mag exhaust or something like that. I'll link some pics of his clean ass lude a.s.a.p

Actually, my friend's got the exact same setup as the lude you have there... he's got the front lip, mugen side and rear skirt (although those don't seem to match up paint-wise), but my bud's also got the exhaust, stock spoiler, and is dropped on teins.

Jut keep it simple. Did i mention I love these cars? HOT.
