Wink IKEA: To Build a Car...?

From Motor Authority...

IKEA wouldn’t be the first non car company to expand its horizons and actually build a car of its own, so there is a very real possibility that the Swedish furniture giant could be just a week away from unveiling a brand new concept car. A new website showing the silhouette of the car next to its supposed designer, Christophe Grozs, has just been launched, and features a ticking countdown that reveals the car’s unveiling will fall on April fool’s day.

The promotion is aimed at the French market and is being run together with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which suggests the concept could be a new eco-friendly model. The only official details are that the car will be called the Leko and will feature a modular design that can operate as either a coupe or convertible.

Given IKEA’s insistent desire to fill almost every niche within the average household, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the company expand its wares into the garage as well. However, being this close to April fool’s day, we recommend all you IKEA fans don’t too get excited.

I bet it falls apart rather easily...nah I like ikea, you just gotta take a good look at what your buying there sometimes to see if it's sturdy enough. I think it's a cool idea for them to expand into automobiles if they can afford too.

The world's first knotty pine sports sedan! Comes in a nice laminated finish.

it'd be awesome if the IKEA dealers also provided 2 hot dogs and soda combo for $2, $1 ice cream, swedish meatballs, etc.
