Hard to tell in the darkness, but does the road curve to the left? I only ask because there's a median that begins right about there and the Lexus turned off to the left toward the end. They shouldn't have raced up so close to the curve.

Is this the same advice you would give to the thousands of people that rear-end people to?

No, but if two cars are going the same speed and one takes QUITE a bit longer to stop, I would think you'd need a brake upgrade with that type of power. Haj fajf

Sucks that there was no footage of the carnage at the end. Kinda leaves you hanging.

There is no substitue for good driving. If the person is going to drive crazy and wreckless (this includes drag racing), they should know the limits of the car. And if you aren't experienced enough to handle a car with that much power, you shouldnt' be driving it that aggressively.

So what would you say to the owner of this:

What does that have to do with anything? Two cars are going one way at identical speeds. From the video, they both hit the brakes at the same time. One stops, the other ones flies into a tree. What does that have to do with the Enzo?

They were both stupid for racing without much room left, but the Mustang should be able to stop better than that. It looks like it went twice the distance of what the IS needed to stop.

Side Note: I'm sick of hearing of people blaming the car when 100% of the time the driver is the one pushing the accelerator pedal.

This applies to inexperienced kids owning M3's, adults that lack maturity, and stupid folk that lack driving experience.

Mustang GT

They're about the same in braking distance. The driver doesn't look like he did anything right.

I looked up the weights of the vehicles and they aren't that much different, by less than 50lbs. so that's irrelevent. But the point I'm trying to make is that just because they both started braking at the same time doesn't mean they'll both stop around the same point. sure they may have a 10-20ft different in their braking distance. but it also depends on the DRIVER and his skill when braking. Perhaps he was scared of locking up the brakes and didn't apply enough brake pressure? Again that would be his fault, not the cars. Again, we don't know the exact details. So all of us are speculating.

You're right, but I figured he pressed them pretty good by the sound of screeching tired. So yeah, maybe it was the driver...

This one reminds me of the dumbass in the vid we posted a long time ago with his girlfriend shooting the vid as he tries to drift around a corner in a neighborhood and slams into a curb....as his girl yells "Oh Shit!"

I was at the Infiniti dealership with my dad when he was getting his Q45 and the sales person was telling us about the cruise control infared sensor thing, slows the car when the car in front of you gets within a certain range. Apparently one woman thought that the speed sensor took over the driving/braking and when she was approaching traffic left the slowing up to the car....

No one could be that stupid. No one can possibly think the car stops by itself when it's even 150ft away going at the same rate.
