If you had the choice...
I need a car to commute to work. A part of me is saying to get a car in stick, but then another part of me is saying to get an automatic car to deal with the traffic. I'm trying to decide if I should get a cheap car ($4,000 max), something like a Civic, Altima, etc... Or just lease either a new Civic Si or an RSX Type S. Both of those leases would come out under $300 a month for 3 yrs with everything rolled into the payment with minimal money out of pocket. If I leased, I'm leaning more towards getting the RSX, it's probably more comfortable and roomy, without screaming "wanna race??". What do you think?

I have the G35x, which my wife uses during the day to go to work and do errands. I only really use it at night and on the weekends.
I considered getting something cheaper, but I figured if I'm going to be spending some time in it, I may as well splurge a little. Compared to the Civic, I could also get a base Altima for 2 yrs versus 3 yrs for a civic for practically the same price. Also keep in mind, if I'm going to lease I plan on rolling everything into the payments, including the bank fee, tax, security, etc..I have a lot of flexibility in new cars because I'm in the business, dealing with sales and leasing for any make/model.

Go for a Revenge mobile
I'm considering buying a nice little Chevette, filling the doors cement and the reeking havoc on all the bastards at my work garage that have put door dings in my CL- I had them removed last summer and now it looks like someone took a goddamn hammer to it again

AT. Why not get something small if you live in the city?
BTW, the RSX has terrible view out the back (stupid C pillar) and you can't have anyone over 5'3" in the back without getting a serious neck injury (ie roofline).
What happened to the Lex?

I'd go with a 94-97 Accord. I got one. their bulletproof about dude. you can put a ton of miles on them, they have decent "get up and go" for a 4 popper. plus they (at least for me) get 25-30 mpg always. insurance (for me) is cheap 90 bucks a month. plus the resale value on Accords are great .
If it was my choice I'd go with a 4 grand Accord EX man.

Altima or the RSX. I prefer the Altima from a styling and performance standpoint. It also isn't small enough to get crushed in if there is an accident on the highway. I'd say get the stick just for the fun factor at times. I have driven my CL in Philly traffic and Boston, Indy, Nashville, Baltimore and still have never had a single problem dealing with the constant shifting.
