if you could have any car in the world BUT

I got into another debate with friends over car choices. The questions was brought up if you could buy any car you wanted, doesn't matter price tag, insurance, gas, whatever, but had to be your daily driver, no matter what weather, circumstances, what would you get? Would you say fuck it and buy an Enzo or something, or go with something more functional, that can negotiate bad weather, and carry stuff? A couple of friends said they would get something practical, just because it had to be their daily driver and others said no way, get something immpractical and crazy and deal when situations came up. Any opinions?

Well I eventually want to get married and have a kid. Can I just tape the baby seat to the roof of a two seat sports car or are you allowed to put them in the trunk?

That would take a lot of caveats for me. If my wife and I could only have one it would have to be an SUV since I need a tow vehicle...

But if I only have to use it for a daily driver and my wife gets a SAV (we would have to have 2 period) I would be perfectly happy with a F430.

If however we had to drive the same vehicle (thus keeping with the spirit of the question I suppose) it would be a pair of Cayenne TT S.

Any car? Whoa...

Pagani Zonda.

(but, I wouldn't mind if I had to seriously downgrade to an Aston Martin DB9 ).

If i didn't have to worry about resale value either (you left that one out)...

Porsche 997 C4... And I would throw a set of blizzacks on it for the winter... AWD and who cares if the salt/sand beats the crap out of it... I'VE GOT MORE MONEY THEN GOD !! WHEN THIS ONE GETS BEAT TO SHIT, I'LL JUST BUY ANOTHER ONE... MAUHAHAHHA...

But since I have to worry about cost, resale, insurance, etc, etc, I bought a Acura CLS... Dencent all around car, but understandably, it's a "compromise" car...

That is the first that that came to mind after reading the original post ^^.

However, I have the same line of thought as Yumchah for this thread,.......and I am drawn to the Zonda F,.........PURE SEX,...but impractical as a daily driver really and there is the kids issue blah blah. Then I think,.....always wanted a porsche,.........and I can get it with AWD etc.

So its the Aston (if made) or a Porsche,................oh decisions. I go with Porsche,.............so,.....a 997 turbo I guess or a C4S similar to GM's idea.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

I think I could live with a 520hp Twin Turbo charged Porsche V8 everyday.

0-60 in 4.8. Even though its an SUV I could still rape 90% of the cars on the road.

Don't worry, there is probably some space age material that when driven daily would make him sterile.

I don't like very many people, seldom go out with more than a person or two, and don't have any kids (that I know of). I would get a F430 and buy really good snow tires.

interesting-the majority are going with a super expensive yet slightly more functional car. Here's another question, how did weather conditions play into your desicion? I guess those that live in good weather year round it really doesn't matter,

Well I am in Canada and have to deal with winter. So the AWD in the Porsche I would get would help with that. Strangely enough, I have seen a few driving around this winter in my area. I think it is a sign,.......YES.

bah.. I didn't really put much thought into it.

if I really thought, I would probably come up with an Enzo. everyone else can take the bus. as far as grocery is concerned, one word: peapod.
