but it would be more profitable to them.
The TL-S would sell like CRAZY if it were 6-speed.
We are living in a time that the demand for a sporty sedan is HUGE.

But IMO, I would love to see the TL come out with the 6-Speed TL-S...

"If they made a 6speed TL-S"
... then I would be driving a TL. I really wanted a 4-door (I'm used to it, been driving my 4-Door Accord for the last 7 years), but couldn't pass up the 6-Speed CL-S. What a great car!

man I would so be driving a TL if they had a 6-spd for it... the only reason I got the CL was for the manual tranny... i was hoping they'd come out with one on '04 but no luck... I really would have liked to have the convenience of a 4-door...

my guess is that the TL 'ESS' will have tha 6MT next year. it's pure marketing--the manny tranny will make the TL 'new' again giving a fresh boost to sales on a 'year-old' car
i would prolly look at getting one if the CL is discontinued...my lease is up in a year. i would much rather drive a completely refreshed CL tho, let's hope acura doesn't `wimp out` to competition

If you want a 4 door, you buy the TL. If you want a 2-door, you buy the CL.
When I went to my dealership for my 6sp CL-S, they were only allocated 7 cars for the year. I asked why, and his simple answer was this:
"Husband and wife walk in, husband starts drooling at the 6 speed. Wife cracks the whip, and the deal is signed on an automatic."
But, I think Acura is surprised on how fast the 6 speeds have sold. I traded our '01 CL-S on it, just for the tranny. Both are awesome cars, but you don't get the sport feeling from an automatic. And the sport-shift is too slow (especially in the downshift area).

haven you driven the CL-S 6-spd yet (i'm almost SURE you have, if not multiple times) and if so, what did you think of it?
I just drove it this weekend and I'm sold I think .. I might want to trade up to one.
What are you thoughts?

330i 5MT,
530i 6MT (or does it come w/ 5MT?)
Volvo T5 5MT
*** NISSAN MAXIMA 6MT ***
Lincoln LS V6 5MT
Not to mention all the enthusiasts that are considering used Beemers to get into a sport sedan ( i.e. used 540i 6MT) that just might want to save a few more thousand and get a brand new Tl-S 6mT. Granted there is a huge diff. b/w rwd/fwd .. we all know, however, for the weekend enthusiast, a fwd powerhouse w/ a 6mt seems good enough.

Belive it or not, I havent drove it yet. For some reason, I dont think it will be worth it to go back to the same car with the only diff being manual. I love manual, but I would want some sort of change.
