I look everywhere when I'm driving, the road, the speedometer etc.I meant it's what is used the most in a car, so the time should be taken by designers to create a decent steering wheel. I don't think you understood what I was trying to say and you just took it as if I was a danger on the road.

I think we both misunderstood each other. I meant nobody else is going to be looking into your car to see what kind of steering wheel you have.

My 06 TL gets 23mpg in mixed driving and 32mpg on strait highway driving. It's been consistent since I've owned it.

I doubt it will be, my GTO avg's 22 mpg street/hwy mix (26 on the hwy, wish it wasn't so heavy and I was getting 30+ like my dads old C5)

The G8 has a DOD motor

22/26 sounds very good for the size/output of that engine

amazingly, if I modded it, it'd get better mileage

it's also amazing for a car that weighs 3900 lbs. The vettes get over 30+ on the highways!

What people forget is, it's not the size of the motor, it's how much you half to push it. At 80 mph i'm only holding 2,000 rpm in 6th. Combine that with the fact I generally only use 1st and 4th while on the street.

true...one reason as to why the 4.4 X5 makes better gas mileage than the 3.0

Will the 6-speed manuals have that skip-shift feature too? Its annoying sometimes but never made me really wanna take it out. Its pretty cool when I'm tired and just wanna cruise and save a bit of gas, but most of the time I just drive hard enough so I can shift to 2nd

I have it removed in my GTO now....but even when it was in...I think I saw it 2-3x's.

That said, I usually go from 1-4 anyways

actually made the error of taking off in 4th a few times....it's like a civic taking off in first

Size. Murano is bigger.
Engine. Murano has a 3.5L 6 the Rouge a 2.5L 4.

Murano looks much better as well. IMO.

She then uploads it wirelessly to your car. The screen between the tach and speedo tell you when and where to turn with voice prompts.

C&D said it was the best navi they have ever used. No need to type your info, just talk to a real life person, sounds good to me.

^keep in mind you have to pay for Onstar though... and IIRC its kinda expensive for an entire year, not everyone would want the Onstar services but they would like navi. Not sure if you can get just that navi separately without Onstar services, and it sounds cool and all but I think I'd prefer a navi I just put in on my own.

That is exactly what Car and Driver stated....and . That said, it would not stop me from getting a G8 GT....my Tom Tom more that covers the navi deal for MUCH less.

I think in the mag it said it ran $299 a year, but as F23A4 stated the Tom Tom would be the best way to go.

I have a TomTom XL loaded with the UK and Ireland maps....For about $70 I can but the US and Canada maps for it....Do you think that's worth it, or should I sell it and get a US nav? I'm now thinking I like this Pontiac and wonder if I really need a factory Nav...

1) Get the US/Canada maps-- don't buy a new unit unless you need additional features (Bluetooth, etc.) that yours does not have. You may want Bluetooth connectivity if your next car is a GM/Saab (or car with Bluetooth as an expensive option, like Volvo) and you don't pay for On Star or you want to use your regular cell phone.

2) Drive the G8 to see if you like it, too. They were advertised @ $4K below MSRP a few weeks ago, but none had sunroofs.
Keep in mind that the MPG estimate is something like 16/24 in CA ( ).

The G8 GT/GXP is basically a modern muscle car. If 15/24 mpg is going to be a hangup then something like an Alti 3.5SE might be a better way to go, though its 19/27 mpg is marginally better.

Quick Reply: If it ends up looking like this...I'm headed to the Pontiac dealer
