If $ was a non issue, BMW M4 or Lexus RC-F?

My 650 Gran Coupe does not have a boring dashboard by any stretch of the imagination so I totally disagree with #4. I'd rather have a BMW dash than a lot of other dashes. With BMW the look is austere but the functions are all there. With GM for instance, there are 4 buttons for every function (exaggerating but not far off) festooning the interior with all manner of cluttered up bullshit to break. No thanks.
I love the spartan, no bullshit dash of the e90's, especially with the brushed aluminum and without navigation. On the other hand, I don't care for say, a G37's dash.
M4 all the way.

Base is available in the configuration as well.
Weird car the F-Type has become, though. R (& its RS or whatever) will be AWD-only which means they're auto-only. Those are 2 cars that would have been fun with a stick & RWD.

If any choice in that price range, I'd choose the Mustang GT350R now that I think about it.
Leaked pricing suggests $63,495 price tag.

Also, not in the same price range. The Mustang is fully decked out at ~$65k. The BMW barely has power windows at that price point.
Also three words:

Agreed. Or even the normal (lol, normal) GT350 and save an additional $14k.
Why? If you're out to buy a performance car, why not buy one that performs just as good or better and is more reliable and is vastly cheaper?

The M3/4 is the ultimate DD+Track car.

FWIW, I love the Corvette but could never DD a Z06. The thing just drives too much like a racecar. Crashes over bumps, the chassis creaks, the interior has tons of rattles and squeaks, etc. The new C7 is a lot better but a lot more expensive.
dat noise doe...

Then get the non-R GT350. Bet it's still just as fast or faster than the M4 and it's even cheaper.

Both GT350 and GT350R will not be anywhere close to M4 in terms of luxuriousness and DD drivability.
Don't get me wrong though, I love GT530R. It just won't be my choice of performance car under $70k.

E9x + ESS supercharger > F8x
I drove a co-worker's manual M4 and walked away unimpressed. It was decently fast once moving, but lag was discernible. It also suffers from ZERO steering feel, and that's something I just can't look past.
That said, the M4 was by far the easiest manual car I've ever driven. Between the hill hold function and auto rev-matching on downshifts, you need absolutely no skill and concentration to drive it, which I suppose is good for people using it as a DD.
