RL = FAIL

CTS FTW

HAHAHHA, This is one of the worst automotive writing I've seen in a long time!!!

"The CX-7 comes standard with 4WD and AWD as an option."

Go figure?

I voted for the RL, too. I happen to like the styling a great deal. It was hard to not vote for the Caddy, though.

Every single car I voted for on the list was in second or last, with the exception of the SL.
1. Rolls Royce Phantom VI - how this isn't winning shows a clear lack in taste, that and the Maserati doesn't compare to it at all.
2. BMW M5 - Seriously, a fucking Cadillac is beating the best that is the M5? WTF?
3. Honda Accord - Well, I guess America shows it has no taste in voting the 300 as a better car.
4. Nissan 350Z - My brother in law drives the coupe, best bang-for-your-buck car you can get, in my opinion.
5. Audi Q7 - Again, the fact that the Escalade is ahead of both the Q7 and the X5 proves people have no taste in cars. With all of the BMW leg-humping that goes on this is a surprise.
6. Infiniti FX45 - Not the best looking car, but sure as hell better than the other two in performance and sound!
7. Mercedes SL - At least America got it right in voting for this car.

The Chrysler 300 and CTS are among the ugliest sedans on the road IMO.

The Maserati Quattroporte is the best looking sedan ever made.

It'd be a tossup between the RL and CTS for me in the luxury sedan category. But, the Maserati would get the overall ...

There's a picture of a M5 and a CTS and you vote RL?

That side...

I can't believe how either blind or just pure brand lovers some of you are...

The RL is just plain boring and underpowered...

...

I mean honestly are some of you getting paid to say these things? It's great to support a brand; but give me a break... M5 > RL?!?!? ROFL

I guess this is a question of looks and it they are subjective...

Sir/ (or Mam ) with all the respect to your opinion. Im not blind.
Lots of people are very quick to judge. They might make decisions based on looks only, or based on performance only. FYI this is not how I function.
When I do comparison I take all things into consideration. Things that you might never thought of (or maybe you did), such as cost/price analysis, value, depreciation, cost to own/operate, fuel efficiency, best bang for the buck…etc.

Back to the point, this is not a fair comparison to star with.
You are comparing two V6 engine cars to a V10…is that fare?
You car comparing an $82K car to a $32K car…is that fare?
You are comparing a 500 HP car to a 263 HP car is that fare?
You are comparing a 12/18 mpg to a 16/25 mpg…. Is that fare?

If I were to vote based on looks only I would have not voted for the Acura RL
If I were to vote based on power only I would have not voted for the Acura RL

All things considered, I voted for the RL. IMO it is:
The best bang for the buck based on vehicle price, HP and cost to operate/ maintain.
Very Fuel-efficient (16/24 mpg) compared to the M5 (12/18 mpg)
You receive a startlingly high amount of horsepower compared to the V6 CTS.

It is your right to disagree with me, so please feel free to do so.

Looks are entirely subjective. You and 99% of other people may think something looks like utter shit, but that 1% of people may think it looks great and there is no convincing them of seeing it any other way and it doesn't mean they're wrong, or that you're right.

I agree with the poster who said this is terrible writing.... the title was Best Looking Cars but the poll was for which is your favorite. With that said...

Best looking
1. Maserati
2. M5
3. Malibu
4. Corvette
5. X5
6. CX-7
7. XKR

Favorite
1. Maserati
2. M5
3. Accord
4. Corvette
5. X5
6. CX-7
7. SL

I like the Quattroporte a lot, the only thing that kills it is those tail lights though. So plain. And they do come with manual transmission, right? If not, change my 2nd vote to the Phantom

I'm a Sir...

100% of your decision was price based. The poll was about looks/asthetics...

I keep reading "Fair" (err "fare" with your spelling); Did you feel sorry for the RL; is that why you voted for it? It sounds like it to me; you pegged it as the underdog and then voted for it...

Best bang for your $$? The RL is in a class of it's own... and it's all alone in that class. It's suppose to compete in the luxury vehicle class. However it doesn't deliver what the M5 can or the CTS does (and many others) ; as such it's a lot cheaper. However it's also not on par...

This is why I said you (and others) were blind... you couldn't see past the "fairness" of the comparison... Poor Honda...

And again it was based on looks... technically you can cross compare a Scion Tc to a Ford GT. It's just what one thinks looks better...

Looks are 100% subjective.... I was just calling out all of you (blind) Honda lovers

The RL with A-SPEC is a 4/5 in my opinion. But its still fairly tame. However, I think it will age well, especially compared to the CTS.

Absolutely looks are subjective. I think the RL has handsome styling....all it needs is a few tweaks to the rear and nicer wheels like the A-Specs, and it's pretty much done. The base wheels are fugly.

I still think it was hard not to vote for the CTS, though.

On another topic...the Maserati Quattroporte is pure sex on wheels. I'd definitely hit it if I had the coin.

Good catch. I think those specs are from a TL not an RL... RL is more like $48k; 300hp

CTS is 32K
CTS is 263 HP
My point is this poll is not fare. the only thing that those cars have in common is the so-called "Luxury"
Go Honda Go Acura

The CTS seems to be a very aggressive competitor (and has already proven to be from NAIAS), but how did the Malibu win car of the year?

CTS > Accord > Malibu.

Only time will tell how sales play-out

Some of the category like SUV doesn't even have Lexus Rx or Acura MDX on the list, WTF ? Those choices being presented are no-comparison IMHO ...
