$23K for a new Mustang!?
#362
Fahrvergnügen'd
$23,290 for a Base V6 with the Appearance package and 6MT.
The way I'd order it it's still around $33k and that's cheaper than anything with that kind of HP short of a Genesis coupe.
I can't believe what a good deal it is.

It looks like Ford is putting together an updated performance package for the v6 model http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...or-mustang-v-6

Yup... It's pretty similar to this years performance package... Actually, I think it's exactly the same, except they are letting Facebook people name it.

Car has arrived at the dealership.
I'm going to talk to the sales manager tomorrow to discuss picking it up... Going to see if the weather holds up in the next few days (it currently is not)... If there's snow/wet roads it's coming home in a trailer...

Yeah, the weather probably isn't cooperating from your POV now, is it/
Look at it this way, it means that you don't have to wait before ripping drifts in the mounds of snow we got today. So effing fun.
FTR, with the amount of time this car's taken to get to you from the time of order, they should be rolling out a fucking red carpet for you, snow and salt be damned.
Anyways, congrats! Think the dealership will mind keeping the car for a bit so you can pick it up at a warmer date?

I know you're excited. Every time I ordered a car (four times), I was busting at the seems to get it. Although my preference would be the 2011 Mustang GT Premium (has to have that beautiful V8), congratulations on your new baby. I know you're going to love this car.
The new 2011 Mustang is getting accolades in all of the automotive press. MotorTrend believes it is the best car Ford has ever built. I know if I were in the market, it would be the first car I would seriously consider and most likely the one I'd get.
Again, congrats and enjoy.

SouthernBoy and Pttl, I know exactly what you're saying in regards to the V8... Getting behind that motor every day would be blissful... Unfortunately finding one for 30k out the door plus the options I wanted just wasn't going to happen; Not even close.... But trust me, I tryed

Picking it up Saturday... Gives me time to straighten up the garage, thaw the garden hose (), and arrange pick up with a towing company...
Damn winter

You are much more disciplined than I am. Of course we don't get snow right here. I would have a few hundred miles on it by now. Exactly how much snow do you have? (Tow Truck?)

It's not the snow I'm concerned about; It's the slushy/salty/wet spray that comes up off of the road.
Trust me, the wait is killing me, but in the end it'll all be worth it I'm sure...

^ This is very true. My 2003's underbody is so rusted it looks like someone took a shit into a pressure washer and sprayed it all down there.
Flatbed, I'm assuming? I'd take it straight to Krown or any reputable rustproofing company straight from the dealership, then give it a nice sealant or wax.
BTW which dealer are you picking it up from?

^ Thanks man.
Picking it up from Dixie Ford in Mississauga... I'm just going to take it for Krown in the spring, or if there's a really dry day some time before then I'll drive it over.
So far it looks like flatbed, I'm still trying to get an enclosed trailer though.
