Zapata... How can you say the exhaust note of the Z/G35c is gay? It's been said by almost every reviewer that it has one of the best exhaust notes this side of an exotic. Gay??? What are you smoking?????

Also, the interior of the CL is superior, but it's not THAT much better as some of you make it out to seem. Also, the new TL and TSX make the CL look like ass in comparison

I don't have a video of the stock Z's exhaust, but this is the Borla exhaust. Sounds very similar to stock yet deeper. How can you say it sounds gay?

http://www.philter.com/~tsunami/borla4.mpg

Here is an mp3 of the stock exhaust...

Can someone point out to me what I'm missing here?? I'm looking at both interiors. I've seen it written that the CL has a vastly superior interior to the G35. And the G35 interior looks like crap. I'm not seeing that here. I like the CL steering wheel design better than the G35s. In the CL the Guage cluster looks better than the G35s to me. The G35s guage cluster looks like it was painted on there. The wood trim around the center console adds a nice touch too(CL). But other than that, I see no big difference. Except that the controls on the G35(console) are all push button, and the CL has actual knobs that you turn. They both have black consoles. The g35 has black & silver buttons w/crome trim. The CL has regular black buttons.

If the G's exhaust note is ANYTHING like the Z's, then there is no where that it is "gay". I've not heard much better stock exhuast notes coming form imports stock in that price range. What is gay is this thread.

look at the symmetry (sp?) of the console of g's compared to the cl's. correct me if i'm wrong, but the g's looks...crowded. also the entire dash of the cl looks flush, like everything belongs there, and nothing is out of place. the g's on the other hand looks hurried and discombobulated (sp?). one of the things that all the reviewers of the cl agrred upon was the layout of the cockpit and ease of use of controls.

I like the exhaust note of the G. I've driven tmk70's a couple times, and it's a damn nice car, all the way around.

Well I actually thought you did have a problem with his opinion due to this smiley :sqnteek: .

This is why responses on forums are tough due to the fact you can't tell a persons real emotion half the time. My bad.

Like Scrib, I too have owned both. They are different animals. I like them both. The only two features I don't like are the finish on the "waterfall" dash and the steering wheel. The dash is painted/coated plastic and it will scratch I like the 4 spoke steering wheel better than three spoke. (For long distance driving, I like to put my hand on the bottom of the wheel. The CL had an opening there and so does my 96 Exploder).

Engine noise - here the exhaust note goes to the G but the engine noise goes to the CL. Since G doesn't subscribe to VTEC it doesn't have that rush at 4,000 the CL does. Combine the 2 and a winner would evolve.

Also, the interior pics are a bit unfair....that is a non-nav, auto G vs. a CL-S 6 with NAV and without the bowling ball interior. I love both interiors and I have had both cars.

I gave up on judging interior quality from pictures. I remember seeing pics of the WRX interior and thinking "eh, doesn't look much better than this pic of the CL-S, really." Then i actually sat in one this weekend. Only then did it become apparent how nice the CL-S is compared to the WRX.
