I rarely do this (Need opinion)
If you can get a side marker that mimics the same shape as your reflector that u used to have up front... that is clear with a clear bulb that shines yellow when activated... then cool... otherwise take the badge off, and do it in black chrome or a brushed finish without the black to match the wheels.... just a few ideas...

I agree, and if it was cheap/easy I'd do it, but that's a good few hundred in body work.

There's a car in that first pic? Huh.
CL - I'd debadge and patch the holes...putting in the light would be plan B...plan C, leave the badge.
Jaber - you made the GTO look good...impressive.

I'm hardly ever crazy about gold painted rims. about the only car that can 1/2 way pull it off is last generation WRX Sti. i don't mind black or silver or chrome. but gold is just

ya, if there was no hole, it would have been off the day I got it just like the other badges that came off on day one that didn't have holes behind them

That's what 99% of people said when I had black/bronze wheels.....2 years later it was the rage. Gold is picking up at full force!!!

Gold looks good on black, white, red and blue cars. Some silver cars can pull it off.... any other color and gold will look funky.
That blue GTO is sweet though.... does the CV8 come with a CF rear valence? I'm normally against any unpainted CF on a car, but that's better than the G T O that's on there, plus the CF looks great with the smoked tails. You don't have the G T O valence still, do you?

No, the guy who owns that car made that rear for himself. I'm actually thinking about seeing if he'll do one for me... I do have the GTO valence still...but painted a dark black
I would either put the side marker on or shave it since you have the Holden front. What badge do you have on the rear? Holden or Pontiac? I don't think it looks right with the Holden front and Pontiac everything else.

I agree, I don't think it looks right. Unfortunately I do have the pontiac logo on the back. I had wanted it completely shaved but had some miscommunication with the body shop when they did the work...and they did work for me for free so I didn't want to push it.
That said....I WILL NOT put the holden emblem on the back because it's very gaudy to me.

I think the badge is too tacky, looks like da Judge... Filling and matching the paint would cost a small fortune - money better saved toward a maggie or wheels
. Lights are $90 and add to the WTF factor.
I have the Monaro front too, and you can always spot the car people - they do a double take. With the badges, they eventually go - "Oh... it's a GTO..."
Badges? We don't need no steenkin badges!

I'd keep the badge. The side marker reminds me too much of the jdm scene. Plus with your other turn signal already on the side of the bumper looking to be the same size, it'd just be too much I think. Personally, I don't think it flows together.

The install wasn't bad. Solder on 4-5 feet of wire onto the pigtails, shrink wrap and tape.
After removing the badges and getting all the goo off, Run an electrician's fish tape (maybe a coat hanger)through the hole, up over the fender liner and back down to the ground.
Tape the bulb connector to the end of the fish tape and pull it through. The actual fixtures just snap into the holes.
To connect the other end you have to splice into the wires going to the turn signal connectors. That means pulling the battery out on one side and moving the airbox temporarily on the other.
The whole deal took me about 90 minutes.
PS - Cocoa - The Monaro bumper doesn't have the sidemarkers in it like the Pontiac bumper. It's definitely ricey if you wire them up to be on all the time, less so if they are only on with the flashers (IMO). Also, the bulbs are amber.

you know what, you've got an idea. I've always hated clear corners (noticed I like you never put them on my first gen, pretty much refused)
I think it may look pretty good painted orange.....only problem is I'm not sure I want to do a $90 "test" as i'm a cheap bastard.
Anyone photoshop?????
