I got a speeding ticket un Georgia when i was going back from florida...
Hi guys, i got a speeding ticket in the Camden county in Georgia.
![](http://pix.epodunk.com/locatorMaps/ga/GA_7840.gif)
I was fallowing 4 others cars the the pig got me at 90mph in a 70mph zone.
I have a few question for you my dear American friends....
For YOU, when you get a ticket in ANOTHER State that is not YOURS, and you dont pay it, what will happen?
For example, a guy lives in Alaska, got a speeding ticket in North Dakota While driving to NY. The guy dosent care about north dakota and plans to never return there.
Does his driving liscense will be suspended IN the state of north dakota ONLY?
Im Canadian and living in the Province of Quebec. What will happen to me if i dont pay the ticket in Georgia? Can the USA deny me the entry next time i will go to the USA? I dont think so... And i dont plan to return in Georgia soon also... Do i will only be banned of driving in Georgia?
Help!!

Were you near Tbilisi when the pig pulled you over?

My ticket didn't transfer from NJ to PA. You should pay this one and be done with it.

not sure if it applies to out of state people..but GA passed a new law that anyone who drives over 80mph is considered a Super Speeder and has to pay an additional 200 dollars on top of what the ticket cost.... I got a ticket in FL and it didnt transfer to GA.. i paid an additional 86 dollars for this to not transfer.... GL!!!!!!!

Yeah, let's break laws and not pay for what we did.

it's a car-drive it
a few years ago I got a speeding ticket in VA and I live in NC. Thanks to the computer age-this info is transfered to NC. I would have lost my license for 30 days cause I went 20 MPH over. I took a driver's defense class, paid the fines and moved on. No points so no increase in my insurance premiums.

It probably does not transfer to your home province of Quebec given it does not border the state of Georgia. Some border states have agreements with Canadian provinces to transfer tickets, but I doubt an issue with Georgia.
You could get away with not paying it, but honestly, it is massive fail if you don't pay it, and karma is really a bitch. After all, we all do 90 occasionally but you pay the price if you get caught.

Haha, I bet I know exactly where you got nailed. The cops in Camden are notorious for traffic stops (its how they make all their drug busts along I95). I pass them all the time when going down to Jacksonville.
To your other point, I once got a speeding ticket in New Mexico driving back from Los Angeles and forgot to pay it. 2 years later, I tried to change insurance companies and the State Farm people told me they wouldn't insure me because my license was suspended! It was a huge mess and I really wish I had just paid the ticket when I got it....

I don't think they will prevent you from going to US, that's a little excessive.
I wouldn't pay for it. It's a different country, but I would call my insurance and registration and talk to them about it. Do you also get points on your drivers license if you get pulled over in a different country? if not then screw paying for it.
