Probably because stealing is still work, you just don't get a paycheck and you take a lot of risks. Idiots just don't realized that it's just like work. You still have to plan, schedule, prepare...idiots.

Damn that sucks. Once I get wheels I'm probably never gonna park my car outside anymore. Well at least not until I put an air suspension in so those thieves can't jack up my car and steal my wheels.

My brother has a 350z with full Carbon Fiber body (well most of it) and someone tried to steal his Navi, his Carbon Fiber hood, and his wheel/exhaust. Thankfully, I just got back and I drove them away, literally, chased them with my car. Who said you needed a Type-S?

Back in 2001, I had a practically brand new 2001 Honda CBR 929 (sportbike) stolen in Washington, DC. Fuckers! I had just reached the break-in point about a month earlier. Sorry to your friend - I have felt his pain before...

State Farm took pretty good care of me though, and I was able to buy another bike a few months later. Your neighbor's insurance should take care of him too (assuming he has it)...

You should be able to shoot car thieves in the back, no warning. Seriously, grand theft auto is a serious crime, but they don't give a shit. They know they can get away with it easily, and they know nothing will happen to them unless they're caught by the police in the act.

People should invest in wheel locks. I have it on both my cars, and they are worth it. I believe they are around $50.

if they are good , they can still get around most wheel locks , but it does help to slow them down and make more noise

Yeah, California sucks. I bet if you took a scumbag off the streets permanently, they'd put you in jail and then let you loose later on, which just means they put another scumbag on the streets.

^yeah thats how wheel locks work, no one ever puts on more than 1 on each wheel, that i know off, cuz most come it sets of 4 and if you buy more than 2 sets then you'll have more than 1 key

Um, a lot less than the US. Don't get me wrong, I love the USA, but having lived away from there since 1996, and an additional 4 years at other times gives me some perspective.

A lot less petty crime and a lot less violent crime where I have been compared to the USA. But I will move back, eventually.

Having something like that happen sucks. When I was 19, the first car I bought, got stolen. (00 EBP EM2) Then when I had my 97 GSR about 5 years after that. She almost got stolen, I came down with a vengeance. Saw 2 Asian kids, 1 stealing and 1 in a different car. If those kids didn't run I would've cut them with my box cutter. I was a morning stocker at Costco. Not bashing on asians, that's what their ethnicity is. Besides I'm Vietnamese. Anyways Karma is a B@#$%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also if they really want to take your car, wheels locks will only slow them down but not enough to take your car. Now I'm happy I got my 04 Acura TL 5AT w/ NAV, I picked her up for 7500 with 57k+ months ago. GARAGED!!!!!! best anti theft device.
