How to pass the time
How to pass the time
Hey guys,
sort of a general question here. I know that almost everyone on this forum has done modifications to their car. But how do you guys pass the time between when you initially first place the order for the mod and when you finally receive the mod? I recently placed an order for an ATLP exhaust for my car. expected delivery date is 6 to 8 weeks. so far, all i can say is that its frickin killing me. the wait is soooo long!!

You just get used to it. Be glad you didn't order parts from Japan cause they normally take 10-12 weeks. So now when I order anything that is less than that it seems so short.
Meh... if this is your first mod then I get the excitement... but after a while it's no big deal. Nowadays it seems as if the parts are sitting in my house longer then it took for them to ship. Finding a free day to do an install is harder to do then waiting for them to arrive after ordering...
I don't do anything. I don't get anxious about such things, it gets here when it gets here, & I get it installed when I get it installed. I'll let the giddy begin after it's on the car.

hahahahahha yes i've ordered plenty of things off the internet before but never anything that I had to wait this long for!! I guess its excitement. plus its a mod that i've been waiting to purchase for so long but never had the chance to order it before. so now that i have ordered it, i want it.... NOW!

I purchase parts from around the world for my restorations. Anything from the tiniest screw to engine parts. Sometimes the parts arrive quickly, other times they take forever. Personally, I like to order well in advance when I actually need it, and several things at once, so when they do arrive I've had the chance to continue working on the car.
To answer your question fully.....I usually sweep the garage out, put a blanket on the floor for where i shall be laying to install parts if i need to get on ground, open tool box up and lay out all specific tools needed for install(sometimes polish them), go ahead and put a case of beer in the fridge on hold for that date, lay out my cool acura shirt and shorts to wear......
okay so i lied, i just grab a beer, some chips and dip and wait by the mailbox.
