How easy is it to transfer a lease

The reason I ask is because I have an 09 altima 2.5 sl that I pay 318 A month for 15k a yr miles. I wanted and still want a civic si. When I decided to lease I was under the impression si's lease poorly. I have heard of people paying 250 a month with only ttl due at signing. If that's true I'd rather save the 68 a month. So I'm just curious how simple is a lease transfer and am I in the right ballpark for the si? Would it be more headache than anything to do this. Thanks guys.

Try swaplease.com I heard of this site from my friend who wanted to get rid of his bmw but never went through with it.

my gut says that the 68 in savings would be eaten - and then some.

you are probably right... i dont think what i pay for my altima is bad at all (considering i have roadside assistance plus full warranty for the whole 39 month 15k a yr lease,) and i put no money down just ttl due at signing. I am just always looking to save a couple of bucks here and there.

it is a lot harder to find a part time job than i thought. i put all the money i got from my tl in my savings account and put most of the money i made over the summer towards paying the lease and i have accumulated about enough payments to cover up until i believe june or july of 2011. i have a good cushion but i never take it for granted because i know that will creep up on me quicker than i think.

i was just brainstorming out loud here looking for input... as reflected from my previous thread in car talk about wanting a civic si months ago i do not make hasty decisions lol.

my main reason for taking on a lease in the first place was the unexpected maintenance i was frequently running into. although i owned the car i was still paying considerable amounts of money here and there to keep my 02 tl-s running smoothly. im a full time college student and live 600 miles from home so i need the reliability of knowing the car wont be in and out of the shop.

i opted for the lease so that i paid a set amount of $ monthly, but had the warranty, and luxury of giving the car back once the miles started to accumulate. now that i have it though, i always look to cut expenses due to my lack of income at the moment. anyway appreciate the input.
