Allegedly. ...and it is purported to have a Chevy V8 as opposed to the original methane burning Infiniti (Nissan) 4.0 V8

it'd be scary driving that on the streets! No one would see you since you sit so low.

 

Not to mention you'd basically stop every couple of miles getting gas

There is no way that is street legal ... but it would be sweet

 

Plymouth Prowler had open wheels in the front.

 

Prowler has little motorcycle-style fenders on the front.

Some states allow open/non-fendered wheels but most don't. I think Cali still allows it, as used on many fenderless street rods. PA (where I live) has never allowed cars with no fenders to be street legal. Other than that, you just need basic safety equipment like lights, turn signals, horn, safety belts.

 

The Ariel Atom as well.

 

and that is street legal.

 

Like what TSXey said, there are fenders floating above the wheels in both these cars.
