how to approach a-spec

I'm looking for a new car and the TSX w/ a-spec is at the top of my list right now. Could someone explain to me how a-spec package works exactly? After browsing the forums and a few sites it sounds like something that isn't exclusive to new cars but is it something that the dealer would install for me on a used car or are you on your own?

Welcome to the site!

The TSX A-spec, which is like the A-spec package for the TL, has different wheels, better (albeit slightly stiffer, and stiffer is always better) suspension (lowered), ground effects kit (front lower lip, side skirts, and rear lip), A-spec badging, and that's it (I think).

It's a package available from the dealer. You can buy the whole package or separate pieces, have the dealer install or install it yourself, get it new with the car or buy it later for a used car. IMO the only thing worthwhile in that package is the suspension.

Nice, any folks have a-spec and don't mind sharing what they paid for it+installation? I'm interested (diy or dealership install)

Welcome to the forums !!

The other posters pretty much summed up the a-spec package... It's mostly a handling/appearance package with no gains in horsepower.

Check out the TSX forum here:

That's where TSX specific question (like pricing) should go...
