Honestly if you had the chance to rechoose, would you choose the Acura Tl or G35?

^ +1. And in the RDX's case, you don't need to slam the door to know the quality blows. About the only good thing I can say about the RDX's interior is that the leather seats are nice. Otherwise, the quality of plastics + abundance of faux metal trim = fail.

Interior (my opinion): TL (3rd gen) > G35 (2nd gen) > TL (2nd gen) >> G35 (1st gen)
Exterior (my opinion): TL (2nd gen) > TL (3rd gen) > G35 (2nd gen) = G35 (1st gen)

Don't like how the shape of the G35 evolved ... if it shared more lines to the G35 coupe (1st gen) ... different story.

FYI: I now own a G37S 6MT (coupe) ... I would have definitely looked at any new 2-door offering Acura had ... wait a sec ... they still don't have anything since the 2005 NSX...

At least it's not wearing an Acura badge, so I let it get away with certain stuff. But even at its price range, I expect better from Honda.

Say what you all want about Infiniti having a poor interior layout, but I agree with those that see a difference in quality. I have not heard of too many Infiniti owners complaining about the cheap leather seats and rattle buckets.

How many of you that own Acuras have had electrical issues? Heated seats, sensors, stereo? What about you Infiniti owners?

^^^^The leather on my driver seat is wearing a little too quicky for my tastes but nothing else really seems to be wrong at nearing 20k miles....

I dont know what you're driving but i've had my 05 6MT TL for 3 years and never had a problem except for a glovebox rattle which they fixed. My 08 type s is still trouble free and i drive my cars like i just stole them! A lot of you guys take honda/acura reliability for granted.
I work in the industry and i buy, sell and drive almost anything you can imagine. U guys should see some of the problems and issues people get with some of these "big name" manufacturers....especially the euro ones.

I hope that was a joke, the G35 had so many problems with premature leather wear and electrical switches when it first came out. The window motors are still known to go out, and the 6-disc changers are crap. I worked in the parts dept for a while before sales, i've seen cars come and go for the silliest things...maybe thats why I don't buy into the whole "JDM=MAD QUALITY YO!"....i guess once you work in service you see how all companies skimp out and cut corners

Good to know. Let's just pretend that the years between 2000 and 2003 never happened for Acura's TL and CL? How many transmissions did you guys replace? Oh, and anyone remember the Error Code you got when your TL or CL CD player crapped out. I blocked mine from memory.

Every car company has issues. You work in service? I'm guessing the service department is where you take your car when you have problems.

2g TLs and CLs and also the early odysseys and pilots had tranny issues becuase honda gave the new V6 more power but didnt bother to upgrade the tranny to match hence the issues. Honda/Acura's manual tranny's are usually right on the money tho!

Still bothers me that it took them 3-4 years to fix the problem.

I keep telling my mom to ditch the thing before the warranty ends. Sometimes when you go into reverse it feels like a brief earthquake aftershock.
