Honda has better drivers?
Honda Owners Holier Than Thou?
Honda owners appear to be upstanding, law-abiding citizens: Not a single Honda is among the top 10 most ticketed cars, according to a survey by research firm ISO Quality Planning.
The Hummer H2 is the most ticketed of any vehicle, followed by the Scion tC, Scion xB, Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and Toyota Solara Coupe. Yes, that's right: one of the frumpiest coupes around is among the most ticketed cars in America. Good news for sports-car drivers.
The Jaguar XJ is the least-ticketed car, according to the ISO survey. The Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Silverado and Buick Park Avenue round out the top five least ticketed. All of those vehicles have at least two things in common: They're sedate and their drivers probably skew toward the "mature" end of the age spectrum.
On the other hand, the young and flashy crowd would seem to favor many of the top 10 most ticketed cars, with the exception of the eighth-most-ticketed Subaru Outback, which is a midsize family car. Clearly there are some law-breaking soccer moms and dads out there.
Eight out of 10 of the least-ticketed cars are domestic, but only one of the top 10 most ticketed cars is American-made. Apparently Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper and Ford Shelby GT500 owners keep their speeds in check. So do Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini drivers for that matter. Perhaps the low showing of high-horsepower cars on either list owes to their small numbers relative to regular cars.
I've asked ISO for the full survey data to find out if that's the case, along with more details like what kind of traffic violations were considered, how large the survey sample group was, and where Hondas fell in the ranking.
In the meantime, you can see the full top-10 list published by U.S. News and World Reports here.

I know if i was wealthy enough to own 100k cars i wouldnt be mature enough to keep it in check.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED that the CTS-V is not on the most-ticketed list. I'm still imagining what my first ticket in the V will be like....
"Sir, do you know how fast you were going?"
"No, Officer, all I know was that I pulled out to pass. How fast was I going?"
"110 mph."
"
No WAY."
Luckily, my throttle modulation has improved after six weeks with the car.
Reading the list, maybe I should drive my S2000 more. It's a Honda, after all.

there are far less 100k plus vehicles on the road than scion tcs... but if it were by percent by each model, i think there would be a big difference

It's been my experience that tC drivers in particular seem to have a chip on their shoulder. It's not the rest of the world's fault they bought a sporty looking but relatively slow car. (I wouldnt get one over a Civic EX, let alone an Si.)

Too true, too true.
