It's interesting that they make a play on the old honda dream name with the "dream machine" slogan...

It's a bike for sure, but who knows exactly what it's going to be...

Here's a Honda Dream from the 1950's:

Awesome bike

Im only 26 but for some reason I have a love for vintage bikes, especially hondas. My first bike was a 1973 Honda CB350 Four. Turned out to be quite a rare bike and I sold if for a nice price. That bike was one of hondas first inline fours

There have been rumors about them re-introducing the classic CB750 cafe racer. I would love that...

FWIW....The "Dream Machine" was NOTHING!!!!!
Honda's new '08 bike line-up is nothing new.
A complete waste.

Honda is slipping badly in motorcycles and cars.

Sux. I have absolutely no idea what direction Honda is heading.

^^ Yes and no...look at the front fork & suspension on the VTX concept...it's similar to the Rune....the M109 has a conventional suspension.

Actually not any bike lovers direction

VFR peeps have been bitching about a V5 for years....it fall on deaf Honda ears.
The shadow line has been the same for decades now.
The VTX line for the past 2 years has had no updates other than paint and bolt-on accessories called Touring models

I could go on and on.....Honda used to lead....now they are following...or falling behind.

I hope it is a 1200cc Sportbike. That's missing from the line up.

Suzuki has the Hayabusa (1300cc)
Kawasaki has the ZX 14 (1400cc)

I've seen pictures of the 08 1000RR and it is hot! So I hope they turn the old "Dreamer" into a ridiculous Sportsbike

word is honda is releasing the 08 CBR1000RR tomorrow. rumors say is a V4 and maybe with traction control, pictures of the beast is hot.
with a V4 and how they orient it it would move the center of gravity towards the bottom of the bike........guess we will have to see. but patents have been released for an exhaust system on it that shows it's an I4

I doubt it's a V-4 and Honda is saying at the Dealershow, Sept. 28th for the full details. I've got the bike as my desktop right now, it's sweet. Stubby muffler like the R6, bike looks really small, people are saying it looks like the 1098. I dig it but others are crying about it. There are pics up on motorcycle news, check um out.

That's pretty bad ass. From what I can see the new differences for the 2008 are:

-New paint scheme (that white one is ugly, IMO, I really like the white 600RR though)
-Ultra-shorty muffler
-Redesigned seat cover?
-Front fairing ram-induction 2007+ 600RR style
-Redesigned fairing (2 vents)
-Ugly chrome on the bottom/muffler

And why does the rear license plate holder protrude out so much now? I guess Honda is trying to make the 1000RR look more like the RC212?
