Question Honda Civic randomly not starting..help!

Hi all...my sister's 93' Honda Civic starts up and then shakes a little and dies. When she tries to re-start, it tries to turn over and then doesn't start. Battery just replaced. Any ideas on what might cause that? Thanks in advance, o wise ones...

Fuel related? Could be..I'll check into that...

Thanks--anything else to look for?

I don't know if she's had a professional tune up... the car's got well over 100K, but I believe Hondas never die, so we're trying to revive it..

Check the fuel filter/plugs/plug wires for starters. Those and the battery are usually the cause of troube starting.

Has the car had a tune up? Check the to see if the spark plugs are ok, the plug wires are ok and on good, check the fuel filter, fuel pump, even injectors.

Yup..this need to be done. Anything more expensive will not be done-the car is nearing the end of its useful life. It was my husband's car from when he was 16. He had it until about 23 and then she got it. It's been through a lot. She is hoping to make it last another year and then wants to get a new Civic Si. (I told her I hope she's saving her pennies!!)

Thanks for the advice..I've already passed it along and hopefully the old girl will last another year or two...
