Holy Sh!t!!! RSX-S Putting 185.1hp to the Wheels!

Check out this link to the dyno:
http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread...&threadid=3284

Its about half way to the bottom. That means its only losing 7-8% of power through the drivetrain....Jeez...f*cking incredible...

If true, could you imagine our engine with that transmission?

yah..that is true.. some hp lose due to friction ..or some factors... cl-s has 260 hp.but i think at wheel..it only has about 220~240 hp..i guess..and it is for every car...
unless the manufacture's hp data is measure at the wheel...not directly from engine output

This is funny? 220-240 to them wheels with a CL-S? NO WAY! Try closer to 200 stock since it is an auto tranny. Headers and intake might give you about 210 to the wheels. Have you not seen dynos yet?

They used a DynoJet dynometer, so the gearing differences b/w 3rd and 4th is not going to cause the numbers to change that much. If you have seen dyno's done on the same car in two different gears, you will know what I'm talking about. I have a dyno chart of my car that shows the diference b/w 2nd and 3rd gear and its almost nothing... the biggest difference is the RPM where the peak HP occurs.

A lot of the people on that board just don't know WTF they are talking about. Just like here... all the doubters and naysayers gotta put in their two cents if they see something that doesn't jive with their concept of reality.

All three of these runs were done in 4th gear? 198HP stock seems to be the only correct one (I thought it would be higher..)

What makes this even funnier is how poorly modded CL-S run in 1/4mile. Barely breaking mid to high 14's with 300HP at the crank (lousy mods) in a two door! There are plenty of Maxima's that run mid 14's with less than 200HP to the wheels. How much do those headers and intake cost? hahaha

You gotta admit, a 24% drive train loss is pretty sad.

My V6 Accord dyno's b/w 153-155hp stock which is right around 23% loss.

As far as the Maxima 1/4 mile times... DUH! They have a 5spd and the automatics have a valve body upgrade they can purchase.

Here you again, Shaka...

Done by the great maxima.org guys:

2000 Maxima, SE, manual, rated at 222 HP
stock: 170HP loss = 1 - 170/222 = 23.4%!!!
2000 Maxima, GXE, Auto, rated at 222 HP
stock: 160HP!!!!! loss = 1 - 160/222 = 27.9!!!

he he he, shaka you thought that your auto maxima would have 222HP, on the wheels only 160HP with stick you gain only 10HP more!

The 5spd 2k1 max dynos between 185-190HP to the wheels and still beats a CL-S. 170HP to the wheels on a 5th gen 5spd is incorrect.
CL-S 260HP "performance" car? NOT!
