Talking hmmmm..... you should of gotten the TSX...

This threads more directed to the new TL guys... With all the talk on the forums on how we should of gotten the TL, now w/ Hondata out and a start of some serious Aftermarket Following (Supercharger/Turbo's in the works)....

Was wondering if any of you TL owners, are now thinkin you should of gotten the TSX?

I really like the size of the TL, it's not about performance mods!

great question however!

Let's make sure this doesn't become a TSX vs TL thing ok?

If I wanted a really fast car, I would get neither the TSX or TL. The TL is an excellent car and is it much more than pure performance. It is a great size, looks nice, has a smooth 6-cylinder, has great luxury amenities, etc... I personally would get the TL over the TSX regardless of available performance mods

I'm plenty satisfied with my TSX.

Monday night and wifey wants Papa John's - the only takeout pizza she'll eat - and I think 'oh great' the nearest one is only 15 miles away.

Call it in - hop on 696 get there in no time, pick up order - on the way back I'm feeling frisky and traffic is light on the freeway. Some goofball in a Grand Cherokee wants to race me and I open it up....drop into 3rd w/SS and leave him waaaaay behind. Shift into 4th and look down - I'm at 115 and it easily feels like there is plenty more. DAMN - I love this car!!!

This car is rock solid and if I had a TL, I'd probably be tempted to drive even faster.

I really don't think most TL owners care that much about performance. It's nice in addition to what they get but definately not the main reason they bought the car.

Oh and I really like the TSX. If they put a turbo and SH-AWD it will most likely be my next car.

HAHAHA...on a real note...the TL and TSX are for different buyers..the TL is aimed more at the middle aged looking for luxuary while the TSX is aimed at a more performace oriented group.

Needs AWD and a 6. A turbo will suffice though.

Apparently the TSX is also aimed at a less educated, spelling impaired oriented group also.

Oh and as far as performance... see above m'kay

hey, my dad was very clost o buying a TL, but it was a week old and selling slightly over sticker. The TSX was the 2nd option.

Both are good at certain things. I love both, believe me. I say this completely unbiasly (sp?), but I think there's a reason why the TSX is one of Car & Driver's 10 Best for 2 years running (I doubt it'l be there in '06)

Other awards;
-JD Power Best Entry Level Luxo Car in initial quality, most appealing
-A TON more I honestly cant think of

The TL is a Consumer Reports Best Buy, so both are damn good cars. Dont hate on each other, guys, the TSX is a lighter TL, and the TL is a bigger TSX. We should love each other, dont hate. Spread the peace around, brothas!

Besides, the G35> TL and Legacy GT > TSX, so we're BOTH idiots alike!

hp =/= performance, if that's what you're getting at......

and handling.... I think the general public consensus is that the TSX is more nimble and tighter in corners than the TL

I still don't get why ppl can't accept the fact that a sedan with 4 cyl can and will perform well. People tend to brag and think of big engines and big hp/torque numbers too much these days.

...and I agree with Stoke... TSX was directed at a younger group who enjoys spirited driving through winding roads and such...where you don't need a lot of power to perform well, overall car and chasis balance is the key.......... while TL is directed at the middle aged group who enjoy a more luxurious ride with power to spare and occasionally like to do some quick manuevers on the highway and such. (understand the prev sentence does not imply what the car CAN do...) There's no argument about the age group, despite the demographics on this board (which is just a small portion of the buyers).
