Hey, new here.

Hey, im new here and i couldnt find a place where to introduce myself, and i have a 96 integra so i didnt find and specific section to go to. But anyways im from seattle, WA. just bought a red 1996 acura integra. not sure what trim (has no abs which should be the RS model but has a moon roof that the RS doesnt have.). Was wondering if any of you guys could help me identify what this wire is for it is under the dash driver side. I have been on club-integra but no one has helped me yet, and my brother has a 03 TL type s, he usually gets his answers from here and pretty quick to so i decided to give it a shot. Thanks in advance!

if it is wrapped in yellow like that, it is usually airbag related... can someone with a teggy confirm?

Welcome to the boards. I agree with everyone here, that anything yellow is a caution, and would be airbag-related.

Welcome to the board!

I have a 98 GS-R myself, but do not know what that cable in particular is for.

What I would recommend is to ask the question over at the team-integra.net forums, or look it up in a helms manual (either the service or electronic troubleshooting manual).

If you work on your car a lot or wnat to learn more about how to service or troubleshoot now and in the future, I highly recommend buying a copy of the helms service manual from here:

yea i think its air bags too. but should i plug it back in or leave it like it is? not trying to have an airbag pop on my face anytime soon. thanks sly for the manuals. i also figured out that its a 96 RS. RS didnt come with A/C or a moon roof, but mines does, it also has pass airbag (which was only available for the 1994 models). so thats pretty weird.

how do you know it's an RS if you don't mind me askin'. I find it strange that the items you say like the moon roof and pass air bag are in your car but shouldn't be. Could it be that you have an LS?

I had a red '94 Integra for 8 years until I got my TL. Great car; I missed it for the first few days after I got my TL but in no time my TL greatly got rid of that feeling

If im not mistaken, I could be wrong but isnt that the connector that you resets your srs light. Its not plugged into anything but that empty connector.
