Wasn't there a thread about Hennessey's questionable build quality or something from a few years back?

And for the record: All of the electronics used by Texas state officials, including their radar guns, worked perfectly during the run. Word to the wise: 85 mph will probably be fast enough.
That's no good

In that thread, Hennessey is the OP.

Choices quotes from the man himself

suffering from what? not getting any business from a bunch of broke **** internet nutswingers? last time i checked i had 25 cars in the shop and money in the bank. thanks for your concern.
i would call you a cock sucker but i heard you were trying to quit......
nope, i just dont care about what any of you internet nut swingers have to say and dont mind telling you that in spite of all your hate we are successful in business and in life.

so while the popcorn is cooking in the microwave, why dont you tell us what you have done wrong in the past, how sorry you are about it and what guarantees you can give us that you wont do it again. that seems to be the attitude from some (not all) around here. its easy to ask those questions to others sitting behind the keyboard and all. but its not so easy when you ask yourself those same questsions much less post it for the world to read about.

good nite and see you tomorrow.

^ Yeah... he's an ass. Not the first time I've seen stuff like that. B/C of it... I'd never give him a dime of my money. I'd buy a second hand Hennessey car, but never would give the man my money directly...

Whoa. The opening drive-by gave me chills. Reminds me of the days being at Daytona.

Pretty sweet. Too bad Hennessey is a dick.

Man...I'd probably be a dick too.

Hes probably had a handful of issues with tuning cars to the extreme, and someone gets pissed and posts it on one forum and all the sudden "Hennessey is the worst business owner in America." Hes probably tired of "know-it-all" car fanboys getting in his shit over something they A) skimmed over in a forum and B) don't know the full story.

I probably wouldn't call people "nut-swingers" on forums and such, but regardless...he ain't hurting for business.

I'd heard of Hennessey screwing around with customer cars, but not that he talked crap like that.

The issues I heard about were not build quality, but whether Hennessey was ripping off a number of customers by taking their money without doing/finishing mods or delivering the vehicles back.

'Hennessey says the CTS-V might have done 230 mph had he been granted another mile of tarmac.'

I guess that's why the driver only got up to 5th gear?

I noticed that as well, but figured 5th gear kept the RPMs up and more HP. Not always but often times, top speed isn't attained in top gear.

Dayum.

Slightly off topic, but I see a black CTS-V coupe sitting on Vossen VVSCV3s on the way to work sometimes. Whoever you are sir, I hate you.

Hennessey's a joke. You can achieve everything he's done for less power, less money, less tuning.
He claims the his V hits 140mph at 10.2, but my buddy Will with only a mild 660rwhp/850 on nitrous has already hit 9.7 @ 140 consistently & is still good for 9.5.

Hennessey's best work used to be Vipers, but if you want a proper Viper to be built, RSI out does him in every category.

Makes sense. The vid below displays a driver of one of his early V's using the same strategy at the Texas Mile.
