Help me replace my 2013 ILX.

Could probably find an RLX on the cheap.

Nicely written, I never was a big fan of the 2G IS, but loved my aunt's 1G (think hers was an 03) 5MT IS300, ton of fun in a quick small sedan. Could also fit the OP's requirements, aside from them being a bit older now. Could probably find a quite nice one for really cheap.
And with the 2JZ, tons of aftermarket support.
Shame they never offered the Sportcross with a manual, same with the TSX wagon.

so, my IT coworker has a '15 S550 (the Mustang 5.0 not the MB) and wanted to keep the 5.0 under warranty so bought IS300 as a beater.
pretty cool little car. bought it for a little under $3k in okay shape....but then again, it's just a beater

wait, I'm a bit confused- Jon said he's refinancing his house here pretty quick- so he's been in a house for several years now (aka has a mortgage), and is also looking to buy a 40k car, and makes his money serving? shiiiiiiet.... better be a high end place that gives good tips. not those tips. the other tips.

Agreed. As nice as the GTs are, they're literally everywhere. Like, if you were to throw a stone in any random direction, you're likely to hit at least 2 mustangs.

Definitely didn't feel underpowered when I drove my aunt's. They handle pretty well stock as well. She had Goodyear Eagle F1 on hers, which were a big upgrade over the trash Potenzas that were OEM.

maybe, something will go wrong? who knows?

well.. that warranty will time out eventually... and having low miles doesn't necessarily mean it will drive longer without issues.
either way... if he's worried about it, he can always dump it before warranty ends...

I didnt understand it either.
he has two of the same types of daily drivers...the mustang can do everything the IS300 can, and even better.
I didnt question him, just told him congrats!
so, the 3K and taxes and tires and the same fuel usage...
he didnt gain anything there.

I can't comment on the Camaro, but the Mustang? Man, I was super surprised to see what a nice car it was overall. Some hard plastic on the interior but overall it was really nice and its a sub 40k car, pushing 425hp from the factory. Gotta expect some give and take.

Check it.

Trees have grown a little bit, but you can just see the water tower in the back ground.
