those 2 options are gonna be expensive. A complete type R(not wrecked) will run you 15-19 k in good condition and decent mileage
A wrecked type R depends on where's been hit, how many parts are able to pull out of it what it's worth.
Now if that's out of your budget. I'd think about getting a new chip. (i believe Jet makes a chip for your Integra but i could be wrong).those run 200-300 bucks. but the bad thing about Jet chips is you gotta send it to them everytime you do a major mod to have it "reflashed"(it gets annoying)
another option is a CAI. many makers of these. like DC sports, AEM,Injen,Comptech,K and N These run 100-200 bucks
another couple options is port and Polish heads(usually you gotta find a engine shop around you to do this), cam gears(skunk2,some other companies make these), Cams(skunk2), Power Pulleys
the only thing your gonna run into man is most performance companies (like DC sports,K and N, Comptech, etc) make parts for V-TEC engines/cars. if you do a V-TEC motor swap your life is SO EASIER with finding performance parts for it. for example my beater 94 Accord(orginal owner) is a family sedan because I got an EX it has V-TEC i can get a a lot of performance goodies for it. grant it not as much as a Integra Type R but a good amount for a family sedan.

how about a LS Vtec conversion?
when i do a ls vtec, what kind of parts should i get ? for example, if i want headers, do i buy ls headers or gsr headers since they are vtec.
how much money is involve in a ls vtec conversion and what is need to be changed. what brand?

Brands of motors Spoon Motorsports you can buy (i think) complete crate motor(which is the motor complete ready to drop into the car)(make sure you get the wiring harness and transmissions) I think Spoon Motorsports has a stoker kit to make the 1.8 a 2.1 liter
I don't know if Mugen has complete motor swaps.
best bet is to type in on Google or any search engine "JDM B18C5 motor". I was going to put a B18C5 motor in my 89 CRX si hatch but it's around 6 grand and it had like 20 thousand on the motor. I figure i'll just rebuild and stroke my D series motor
. plus the nice thing like i said about the type R motor theres TOOOONS of mods for it(like intakes, headers, exhaust, throttle bodies, cams, etc, etc) if you got the money now go for it. if not save you money man.I'd say if you pay someone to install the B18C5 motor with tranny it will run you about 10 grand by the time everything done and it's ready to roll.(depends on what other parts you need and things.)
if you do it yourself about 7500 bucks give or take a grand.

I actually bought my 01 GS-R with a JDM B18 C3 engine already in it. I wanted to find out more about it, and hunted the previous owner down. He said that it was ordered is a special order "crate" engine that you have to request from Honda. Has a slightly higher Compression ratio than the USDM B18 C1 that the stock US GS-R comes with, and is good for about 10 more HP. It is comparable to the JDM GS-R motor.
My mod list is coming together like so:
Already on the car: AEM CAI
To be Installed within the next week:
JDM Integra Type-R DC Sports Stainless Steel 2.5" header with 2.5" collector.
Type One racing Test pipe (to replace Cat)
Type One Racing Full Exhaust.
But like others said, If you have the money, get the ITR motor and Tranny.

Sorry about the
but this should get us back on topic.that means that would spank a STi, Evo, probably even the next generation Mustang Cobra.
if you put that in a stock looking Integra(no body kit or big spoiler) that would be a hell of a sleeper. make some serious money with that car.
One of the good things about having an integra ls is that it is less likely to be stolen. Type-Rs and GSRs get stolen all the time. Id recommend going to www.honda-tech.com or www.team-integra.net for information about modifications.
