dude 275 is NOT chump change for me...shit im a part time working student, 285 is more than half my pay check

is there a way to unscrew that black plastic assembly that lines the edge of the hood, if i could unscrew that i could try and just push the dent out from the opposite side

if i cant get a price under 150 or a good DIY i might jsut leave it, id rather buy a CAI instead of fixing a dent

Maybe a paintless dent repair place would be cheaper

didn't know you were a student.

Awesome, another Monterey BP TL.

275 is indeed cheap. I had a quarter size dent and scrape on my roof, inbetween the windshield and sunroof. After they had to take out the windshield, the total came to over $800.

You could try one of those $19.99 dent puller things if you wer really desperate.

yea the estimate was from a PDR dude

it seems they charge by how many inches it is....1 inch dent would be like 99, but because mine was 4 its alot more

argh FUCK CITY PARKIGN!! im gonna find the pathfinder that did this to me and smash his windows

yes it does pop off. you'll need to get under your hood and just unbolt those little black square looking things. then you can take that whole grill assembly off. its gonna take a little bit of force once you get the plastic screws off but its doable.

what you could do is,once you get the grill off, try to take a hammer or any tool that has a rounded end and wrap it around a soft towel.. remember to bundle it up a bit. take the rounded part and just kinda rub it against the bottom side of the hood firmly. try to smoothen it out, it should slowly start popping up a few spots. its not gonna be perfect, but its gonna be a good temporary fix.

i also recomend running out to acura or honda and getting a touch-up paint pen. get the color code from the side of your door (on the driver's side), and ask them for it.. it should run you about 12 dollars i believe. add a little bit of paint on the spots where the paint got chipped, that way it wont rust over and chip off more and more of the paint on your hood.

and again, like everyone else said, 275 is actually a REALLY good deal for a damage like that, especially on the hood. i was quoted 700 dollars for the same size dent on my rear fender.

hope my post helps
