Taking it to a mechanic you trust is the best.

hmm yea ur right but what about...just the initial first step...the problem is im in northern Va and im looking to by one down in richmond...so i dont necessarily know any mechanics down there...what do you suggest?

Well try carfax then but even if it was an a small accident, it wont show up. But at least you can see how many owners it had and such.

 

Agree. Adding carfax should increase your level of comfort, too.
