HELP to beat an E36 M3

My friend's got just a Jim Conforti chip and a homemade intake. He ran a 14.36@98 this past w/end. He's already toe and toe with me. I need something more to beat him. It's rediculous how fast he's getting. All he needs is gears/cams/pulleys and he's got me beat. It's driving me nuts. I don't want to lose to this guy!!! What should I get?

1) Zex Wetkit Nitrous without any of the accessories
2) UR Pulleys
3) ?????????

Help me with some ideas here. I have about $500 to spend right now. I need to win...

LOSING IS NOT AN OPTION.

o yeah, did I mention her ran that time in 75 degree heat with only a 2.21 60' ? Damnit! There's no way I'm gonna pull a 2.1 or 2.0 60' without drag radials or slicks. If he just runs a good 2.1 he'll kill me...

What mods do you have now? NOS is always a quick boost in power.

start yanking out seats? for 500 its either NOS or weight reduction...maybe you can borrow/rent someone's wheels w/slicks (from this board)? good luck.

it was 75 degrees out pimpscls...

when you do better in that weather then you can talk shit all you want...

as for the juice, I think that's gonna be the way I'll have to go. next decision is whether or not I should do the install myself and which kit to go with.

A 75 shot is all you'll ever need.

yeah, I'm thinking 75 shot is more than enough. For now I just want to run a 50 or so just to dip into the 13s.

Just save your money for now and get the S/C... Don't keep wasting your money on little 2-3 hp gains for $300 a pop.. Save for the S/C.

I'm running Potenza S03s 225/45/17

Maybe a light weight wheel/tire package will help shave some time off that slip.

no stock 5MT E36 USDM M3 will smoke a CLS 6MT. It may be a driver's race but I've edged out half a dozen stock 5 speed M3s even when I was stock. From a roll, from a dig, from 40, from 60, at the tracks... you name it, I've raced 'em from there...

You give it way too much credit.

on the straight line..yes cls might win.
but at cornering...
we've got to admit M3 has way better handling than cls...
right?

I wouldn't ever expect to keep up with an M3 around the twisties... I'm just talking about in a tsraight line... I thought that was inherently obvious. If I wanted to beat him in twisties I'd be asking about suspension upgrades...

come now, you know better than that Type S.

Post some of your 1/4 mile slips. You should be getting better times with your mods.

TEMP : 75*

330 foot : 6.2038
1/8 mile : 9.3939

I don't know what you mean by should be running better times but I haven't seen any others yet running that much incredibly faster with my mods and on street tires. Keep in mind the temperature and humidity.

PUlley's are hard to explain. It is one of the only mods that the power from it increases as you add other mods. For example, I gained 10 hp with the pulley Na with 1400 miles on my car. oNCE i added headers, I could feel the drastic increase in power over other 6 speeders with headers.

Also, anothe example would be FI vs. NA. A car with FI will gain twice the power froma pulley than a car that is NA.

$4k? plus instalation.

Go with the N20 man, $4k is not worth 60whp for drag racing IMO.
