Congrats! Car looks great. What color did you decide with for the interior? Any difference in performance vs your last car?

Thanks everyone! Update occurred because I was having some issues with my starter turning the engine over on the old one. Took it to service and they blamed it on the fuse box under the hood being corroded. I called BS, and said the hell with it and just traded it in.

Interior is black with blue stitching, dry carbon fiber trim, and 717 hp instead of 707. Almost bought a Challenger Hellcat Redeye Widebody last week, but it was black and I'm not having another black car.

That must have been a hell of a discount! Congratulations. I love the widebodies at Dodge.

Was the fuse box not under warranty anymore? Seems like a rather small reason to upgrade the whole car but what an awesome upgrade it was!

It wasn't. Electrical and starter not covered by the powertrain warranty. I was travelling and had it in for an oil change when I paid dodge to diagnose the issue. Said the power distribution center (fuse box) under the hood was all corroded and could be fixed at the tune of $1600 on top of what I already paid for diagnostics. Was going to have them do it but they didn't have the part and would be home by the time the part came in anyway so I passed. Power distribution box they were talking about looked perfectly fine with no signs of corrosion either.

Went to look around at cars this weekend and they offered a hell of a deal on this one, so went for the new car with a warranty. Not all about chasing any electrical demons.

So far, this thing is leaps and bounds better than the old one. Handles better, rides better, better electronics, and it's not black.

Nice! If you can get a good deal on the car plus a good trade value then there's no reason to not jump. Love the new color too.

Well, I would certainly hope so...they are pricey.
That interaction would have probably turned me off to the brand although
there isn't much else out there with that much power and tech all in one package...
not black is one of my stipulations too I'm proud to say I own 5 vehicles and
only have a bike that's black.

Either way, hell of an upgrade

$19/month more than what I was paying on the other one certainly made it easier for me!

I had my doubts...

This thing is going to be a monster once broken in fully and release agent worn off the tires. Could never get better than 4.2 0-60 on my old hellcat due to traction. Just put down a 3.9 on the second try.

That looks absolutely amazing! I scrolled back up a couple times to go over the pics some more.

I enjoyed driving my brother's Daytona R/T, can't imagine what it's like to essentially have double the horsepower.

When I bought my Jeep a couple weeks ago there was a Charger widebody in the showroom. It had a $15K+ market adjustment. And it was....black.

For me, I'd park an F8 Green widebody in my garage next to my Gator Gladiator.

That car is BAD … ASS ….congrats on your second one and enjoy 717 (holy crap I could only imagine...)

Oh and I know this first hand as my neighbor Randy across the street has a modified 2018 Hellcat widebody (below) and it literally shakes our house when he fires it up.

I tried on the alfa, they wouldn't do anything except say they don't lease good. Loved the Giulia though!

The local dealership had their Hellcat Daytona marked up to $95k. This one had no markup on it and they actually discounted. Reminds me of the people who paid a premium when the hellcats first came out and their trade in value was the same as those who waited.

I follow him on Instagram. I was thinking of wrapping my old one the same purple/black that he had before this wrap.

First full day of ownership and had the windows tinted, a must in GA and FL! 20% on sides and back, then clear ceramic film applied to the windshield to help with the heat buildup from the dash when driving in the sun.

It's getting shitty gas mileage right now during break in. Here was my old one driving back from TN last week being stuck behind a tractor trailer for about 30 miles. Usually get about 23mpg doing 85 on the interstate.

Speaking of Prius, pulled up next to a lady driving a Prius at a stoplight last week. I revved, she flipped me off.

That reminds me, one day recently, my brother and I where in his '92 5.0 Mustang with flowmasters and he basically did the same thing. Instead of flipping us off the guy yelled out 'GSP!!!'

Too funny! I was next to a ford f-150 with two guys in it one day. They were asking questions about the hellcat and asked if I drove with the red key. Light turned green and I nailed it. They flew up next to me, hit the lights and sirens and shook their finger at me smiling.
