Headlights on an 09 Maxima

So this is our "other" baby. I'm trying to convince my husband that she would look sick with some smoked out headlights. Opinions?

My vote is to leave it stock, but I have gotten boring in my "old-age."

Opened, bezel painted, reflector removed or replaced (with a smoked or clear & tinted reflector) - yes.

Tint overlay - no.

It's a risky procedure placing a set of $1,600 headlights in the oven to separate and do it right. It looks cool, but a set of rims and exhaust would help a lot more.

Why anyone would want to tint their headlights to look cool but actually put out less light never made sense to me...

The SE model ones come with blacked out headlights from factory, not fully blacked out but smoked out bezels etc.

PM me if you want to get a good job done at a reasonable price .

Check the link in my signature for info.

When done, you can expect them to look like the following.

If you have the HID version then I can also do a projector lens swap as the current maximas use non-afs RX330 projectors, this will yield a sharper cut off along with increased light intensity.

You're just old.

I wouldn't take it apart since resealing could be an issue.

I guess I must be getting old too since I have zero desire to really mod any of my cars.

Oh wait I installed an Accord horn in my Fit....

We've put touch screen TV's in both headrests with dual DVD input, but otherwise, it's basically still stock.

overlays arent always so bad. its a love/hate thing... this is my altima with overlays with eyelids over them... I didnt cover the headlight bulb with them though...

I think some black vinyl over the corner of the headlights wouldnt be so bad if you didnt want to open them out to black them out.

I've had my Genesis Coupe for over 6 months now and I haven't had any desire to modify it. I recently got married, so that may be having an impact on my mentality.

of course they did... you said smoked out headlights... usually what people say when referring to tinting their lights.

JNC is opening them up and painting the housing/bezel.. totally different...

Nissan -- in making up for the 6G Maxima -- styled and engineered the new Maxima just right (with the exception of the CVT that is). Then again (and like Ravi), it could be my old age kicking. (Though I'm tempted to go mid-life mod crazy on my 97 Lude.)
