I'm thinking of trading/selling my 04 TSX 5AT w/Navi & 35k miles, but there are a few conditions I would like to satisfy for the replacement automobile:

1) most likely used; see (2)

2) price: similar or +/- 2000 dollars.

3) manual transmission.

4) comparable or better performance, such as acceleration and/or handling.

The TSX is a very nice car, but the novelty is wearing off rather quickly and the ride is ... well ... not very engaging, if you know what I mean.

So, could someone suggest a make/model/year that would meet these criteria?

 

In order of my preference

1. Used Subaru Legacy GT - Honestly, it would be the only one I strongly consider if I were you
2. Slightly used or new 06 Honda Civic SI if you are willing to give up the luxury part. It's fun to drive just hard to find one.
3. Used 03 Acura CL 6MT - I had CL for 3 years before I got my TL and I love it even now.
3. New 06 Volkswagen GTI - again, not luxurious like TSX is
4. Slightly used or new 06 Subaru WRX
