Get pissed if you want, but I highly doubt you really know how to drive either one to its full potential so what difference does it make.

Come out to an autoX event with us. Bring your CL-S lets see if you have truly "mastered" FWD.

I love that look. Well done.

A friend has the exact same car but with m contours. The painted strips make a huge difference.

just be prepared for the difference between a car from '95 and an '01 .... much like people, the older cars get the more problems they have... i personally wouldnt go from a newer to an older car... good luck though!

Just get the M3, so you can stop making threads about it

Look at his age, he isn't old enough. I know, I tried to do the SCCA ones by me and I'm not old enough, but I just do the ones through the BMW car club and they don't care as long as I have a liscense.

Even if he could go, we all know whats gona happen, first turn he's gonna plow through the cones with his "mastery". Such a heavy car and front-wheel drive are not the best combo for the autocross.

This is CSCC, so I believe he can do it. Bring your pops with you. As long as you dont try and be an idiot and drift or purposely take out cones, then I think they'll let you. Look at the website andfind out.

The less tread you have in autoX the better = more grip.

I just want to see the mastering FWD claim. I will most likely laugh...a lot. Or perhaps be proven wrong...

But its till possible. I watch M5's and Impala SS among others cars (SVT Lightnings) run and run well. Are they going to get times like the STi and EVOs....hell no. But they can still make a show for it.

I dont know go look at teh website solo2.com

if you cant find it there then look at contacts and ask one of them, there should be numbers listed.

Im not surprised you've made us sick of looking at cars with you too.

Less tread the better?

I know a broken in NEW tires is good but less tread is not better.
Bald tires will HURT your road coarse or auto-x times...

What you smokin? :blaze:

Not bald, less tread=more surface area, ideal fuck no, does it work yes. First time I autoX I went out and killed off my already ailing stockers. Worked fairly well too. Then I bought my Azenis, take a look at how much they have in the way of tread, granted they are much softer, same with R compounds.

What im saying if you set you tires up right at the beginning of the day, overinflate a little bit, then 40% tread left aint bad.

If you got 40% left they arent bald, and if youre such a fwd master you wont be sliding around.

Agreed with 40% tread is fine.
I thought you meant the less tire tred the better..NOPE

Anyways it doesnt matter. This guy has never gone, tire tread is not going to affect him. He is going to "learn"

You cant master anything on the streets..

And honestly I dont like auto-x. Too small, to tight for real fun. Its not bad though..

Road racing is MUCH BETTER and ALOT more fun.

Should try is again, we get a lot of Z-06s. they hook some R compounds and make the 95 M3's and M coupes work harder to get their wins.

Road racing is fun as well, but if you fuck up yer car, its on you.

My question is, you have been shopping for a M3 for MONTHS now. You are just NOW thinking about the maintance costs? Give it a rest, you wont buy the M3, stop acting as if you might.

I sold my first car as soon as I could when something better came along. Don't get attatched.

An M3 > CL any day of the week.

Just get it, stop fucking around. If I had a chance to get my "dream car" I would in a heartbeat.
