The top of the radiator in my 96 Accors 4 cyl. is leaking...not too bad, but its leaking. How much would you guys estimate the cost of a new radiator and install?

Coincidently someone was asking about a radiator for a 97 accord here:

You could probably DIY for under a few hundred, but it's gonna be pricey if you have some one else do it...

I would just get rid of the accord and get a new car

1.6 to 2.1 flat rate hours depending on whether or not it has an automatic and/or A/C.

Probably $200 for a radiator with mechanic's mark-up, less if you DIY obviously.

When my 95 Accord's radiator cracked, I paid $100 for the Koyo radiator replacement. Koyo is very good replacement. The labor took about 1 hour to remove, replace, and pour the coolant in.

If you're good with wrenches, it's not a difficult task.

I have a call into 2 places...I guess I'll see. My friend is a service writer for Toyota, and he thinks it would be like $400.

if your paying for the labour it will probably be 400, if you DIY 150-200. I replaced the rad on my 95 Accord, Auto w/ A/C, it's not hard at all. Remove the fans, unhook the coolant and trans cooler lines, 2 bolts on top holding the rad and Poof it pulls straight up.

do it yourself, it is easy. less than $100 at www.rockauto.com plus $10 for the gallon of antifreeze, not the 50/50 stuff

And find out a month later that it was completely clogged as the last owner never changed the coolant?

Just spend an extra $100 or so and get a new one, unless you enjoy replacing radiators.

$400-$450 for a friends 95 accord.

If you buy the parts off Ebay & DIY, less then $200.

Wow, that's book time? I didn't check alldata, crazy. It's a very easy DIY, but those numbers seem about right. Find out what the labor rate is at the places you have in mind to install it. Maybe replace the hoses too while it's all apart? Probably a good idea.

....AND, $326 for new front brakes!

I should be good to 200K miles now!
