it's a higher pitched sound than the CT mufflers. it has a japanese sound to it, like a supra, where the comptechs have more of an american v8 rumble.

i wouldn't say they sound better, just different.

it does feel like it's making more mid/top end power too.

Have you heard HKS or Graddy exhaust system on a Supra?!? It's anything but ricey... I heard that system on another members car before, it's louder than Comptech due to bigger pipes, but it still produce a very deep sounding tone compared to the so-called "coffee can" exhaust, so I would have to disagree with the 93 Civic comment.

well i hope youre right, it would be a shame to see a CL-S that sounded like shit due to ricey fart cans that plague our streets these days. the kit looks solid though, it looks to be of good quality. i dunno if id get it if i still had a CL-S because we all know there isnt much HP to be gained at all in the exhaust beyond headers.

Mattg,

You know the 2 front stands you use to hold up your car?
Those weren't placed on the typical mounting points were they?
From your pic, it looks like they are more "in-ward" than the rear stands. Where is the placement exactly?

Nice cans btw,

Kvit, the jack stands are pretty much set in equally front and back. they are not under the jack points (since i had to use the jack points to jack the car up) they are under the spot where the front (and rear) frame assembly bolts to the unibody. the area is inward of the jack points. there is a large brass colored bolt in each spot.

Damn, you better check those pipes every time before you start your car or you may kill some poor unsuspecting animal who made itself a home.

Strong work Matt. Those are so much nicer than the comptechs. I think I even like the mufflers better than the HKS.

thanks everyone for the kind words and humor.

i will get more pics and some sound clips soon.

lou, i wouldn't say they are much louder than the CT's at all. they have a higher pitched sound, they're a little raspier too. the quality is very nice, heavy duty stainless, perfect welds, and they installed pretty easily. the list price on them is $980. there was another set for sale in black market, from satinslayer. $450 shipped i think.

smitty, i think the finish is a high temp epoxy paint.

Looks very nice. You did a nice job on the install. I'm not a fan of that size exhaust through.
