Gotta do a school presentation

For my Technology Ethics class I have to do a presentation on a technology based ethical issue of my choosing. I have been thinking about doing it on black boxes in automobiles, but I cant seem to come up with any videos (supposed to have a short video as part of it). Do any of you guys know of any? Also, if you have another idea for something I could do a presentation on, let me know. People are doing the usual downloading of music and etc. I wanted to do something a little different. Thanks guys

I think a lot of cars are including the "black box" feature into the ECU, I could be mistaken, but I don't think there is a specific part that's sole function is to record specific data, that could easily be maintained by the centralized ECU. As for a clip you got me?

What exactly is ethically wrong with a black box? Humans have a tendency to lie and this makes their lies more easy to detect. Or in the event of a severe accident it can report the details which would otherwise be impossible to discover. I think the uses far out weigh any possible ethical or negative problems.

I don't know if you can still change your topic or not, but I think the Navigation(or transmission launch feature) in the Nissan GT-R makes a much more interesting and specialized ethically compromising case. There is a lot of data to support the argument and clips everywhere.

Thanks a lot for all the info. I can still change my topic, it just has to be on something that can be seen as a ethical issue. I will look into the GT-R idea.

Another similar but different idea would be the idea that as cars adobt the use of Navi systems, the government could eventually use them to track people, measure their speed limits, enforce laws, etc. I have seen articles over the years on this topic so there is infomation out there.
