It's definately one of the best cars I've had, it just didn't work well for me as a daily driver. I almost always have things/people to carry with me and the 2 seater worked against me more often than in my favor.
I'm going to have to check out a S2000 in person. I found this at my local carmax and I'm in need of a new vehicle. I'm 22 and have no kids. I don't wish to have anyone else in my car, I wouldn't mind if it only had 1 seat. My only concern is the winter months but I figure a good set of snow tires would do the trick... The winters have been pretty mild up here but you never know (Baltimore).
(Im currently using the search feature for more info but any advice would be appreciated)

Hey Shoofin...Good call on getting some all seasons for the GTI. I made it through last winter with the 18" summer tires, but I had a few white knuckle rides along the way. And by the way, you should have got the DSG.

I received the tires the other day. I'll probably do the switch over the weekend...Now I have a set of 225/40/18 Summer tires (Continental Sport Contact 2) with 500 miles on them to sell....Anyone?

Any regrets of getting rid of the S2K for the GTI so far? I ask because I have 05 S2K that I having been thinking of replacing with either a 4-door GTI or A3. I am afraid that I will miss the handling, the smooth MT and performance of the car if I do this.

Nah, not yet....I do have access to the S2k if I want to drive it, but for the most part, it's out of my system, so whether I drive it or not, I could care less..
