Goodbye........

At 9:30 yesterday morning, I was let go from my job, as many of us have been. For the last 10 years, I ran the Hondacuraworld websites, which are now closed.

Seems that the economy was too much for us, and the decision was made to get out of the internet business. It's as much of a shock to me as it is to you, probably moreso.

I'm not sure where to go from here, honestly. Ray was a great guy to work for, for the last 10 years. I'm still at kind of a loss for words, friends.

One thing that I will ask, for those of you that have known me over the years......is a simple letter of recommendation. My email and IM is
steelytim71@aol.com, I'd appreciate staying in touch. Bear in mind that as far as parts, prices, who to contact, where's my parts, etc......that I can't be of any help with.

But, hey, I'm still around.....I'd welcome communications on email or on facebook.......just look up Tim Poliniak.

I loves you guys.....

Sorry to hear about your situation, sounds like it's just bad luck and was totally beyond your control. It does seem odd that they are just closing their online division, I could see making some changes, but giving up on the web is like throwing in the towel completely, at least as I see it. The web provides nearly unlimited potential to grow, market and change your business with minimal investment financially.

Good luck and if there is anything the community can do I'm sure they will, this is where this forum shines! Take some time to lick your wounds, and then get back into the game with more ferocity and energy then ever before, this will not kill you, turn it into the opportunity you never knew existed.

Sorry to hear. Hondaacuraworld has been great to so many people on this forum and they all, including myself, should be very grateful of what you have done.

Tim, don't know you but a lot of good people here are wishing you the best, and so will I.

PM me and let me know what computer certifications you have and I may be able to point you in the right direction.

Wow! I would have never thought this would happen! Throughout the forum you always see your name when asked where to get good OEM parts and to hear that hondacuraworld is no more really saddens me .What are we supposed to do now? Tim, I only bought a few parts from you in the past and probably never had more than a few conversations with you at the most but the business I did do with you was always top notch. I too have felt the hardships of this economy and I wish nothing but the best for you, good luck and I hope you find a job quickly!

Wow, this was unexpected, your name was commonplace around the forums. I always saw group buys for those aspec-kits.

Have you considered going back into the business of selling parts but expanding to other automotive brands, just because Acura/Honda might be a small market which will be tough to sustain a reasonable profit.

That kind of sucks, I am sure you were making money too. All works out for the better, I just purchased my side skirts from you and the service was phenomenal.

BTW - to the OP below me, I am sure hyundai is doing well too.

Also tim, use this page as a letter of recommendation!! We are all witnesses to your professional business skills.

Tim,
So sorry to hear about you losing your job. As others have stated you are a class act - very very helpful, honest, fair and quick with a return email with questions answered. Ray L. has lost an important asset - you. Will write you a recommendation. Good luck in your job search and stay positive.
